I was surprised about the result at the end. I think, the russian song is much better then the swedish song. But Europe has decided.
Alexej did a great job.

Yep he's done his work perfectly. I think the main results of this contest for him are:
1. Europe has known him
2. His parents are proud оf him

I think so too, but let's face it - he was horrible on the night. You have to back up smugness with something, and neither his singing nor dancing were very competent. But I'm still shocked at the lack of support from the ex-USSR satellites.

Between Sweden and Russia I would have chosen Russia but at the same time I wasn't a big fan of it, either. I suppose his yelling and shouting during the song was a major putoff for a lot of viewers though I never expected such a low placing. As a matter of fact I predicted a 6th place. (how wrong was I on that one??)
So I'm okay with the results, good luck in 2012!

I really loved Peter Nalich. For me his song was one of the best last year and miles better than Alex's song

I loved Peter Nalitch too! I never understood why so many people hated it, it was absolutely fabulous :)

Nalich is interesting - I like him but aren't his songs out of place in pop music contest? Aftre Lordis I don't know what criteris is right :mrgreen:

Speaking about his future plans, Vorobyov said that in the near future to begin shooting the video for the song Get You. "Now the song starts my life here in Europe", – added the actor. For me last year Russian entry was ingenious, I love it, miles better than this year americanized crap

Well in my opinion American music doesn't match a Russian soul. It maybe a rather smooth combination for the first sight but it fails comparing with the same singer singing Russian ethno. Dunno why. What do you think?

Peter Nalich is a genius artist!!!I discovered him after ESC!And I still listen "lost and forgotten" everytime I feel it!!!!It's a precious song if you can feel the lyrics!!!!

Well it IS surprising for me as well, especially that this placed worse than Peter Nalitch :lol:

Don't know what to say. I was never in love with this entry, but it wasn't bad at all. It was quite decent, and if I had to bet I would've said that he would do a top 5. Luckily I didn't bet as I would've lost my money now :lol: This was a real debacle, totally unexpected.

And yep, I'd also like to see a song in Russian next year.

They are deaf indeed but this is my opinion of course. It's time for Russia to send more "arty" acts, something they can do very well.

I think that the jury made big deductions because Russia this year didn't get more then 8 points from anyone. This song wasn't very good... I liked the solo but after the solo it was like he sung another song... The solo had nothing to do with the song itself (my opinion).I found this song very plain ( not so original, like other songs), his voice was not perfect the presentation wasn't very good. Despite all I quite liked that song but I didn't vote for it because I found better songs . People didn't vote for it, juries did not send so much points for it--> Russia 16th place ... Oh , Russia must send in this competition better songs ( not so comercial) and for my taste sung in russian like Solo or Mamo ( I loved those songs). Maybe if A. were sing a song in russian ( in the same manner wich he did in the first 24 sec ) he could have been on top 10 ( LIKE GREECE).
