As much as i like San Marino, i am not surprised because Senhit went to Poland out of all countries, and they kinda exchanged in semifinal
They did the same in 2016 with Bosnia when Serhat visited Sarajevo a few weeks prior to Eurovision... Surprisingly, Bosnian jury gave San Marino very high marks and Bosnia got some jury points from San Marino as well. There is obviously some lobbying going on around and smaller countries tend to do that more often. Malta in 2016 was suspicious as well.

It's clear William loves him, so he'll be a permanent fixture for some time I think. Wouldn't be surprised that he plugs the gap where Deban used to be since he has not time for William's crap anymore whereas Cinan is "yessssssssssssss kuweeeeeeennnn slaaaaaayyyy" setting William off...

Lord, my head just thinking about it

He was a video editor for a considerable period of time before he started going on-screen and so he's not going anywhere. Does a lot of the behind-the-scenes work.

Jesus... What a show...
Firstly, I am really happy for Italy. Easily the most consistent country in the competition. They deserved it!
France, Switzerland, Iceland and Ukraine with very good results. I am really happy for first two. Especially because they were flop countries in the near past. They are the real example for UK and Spain.
About my country, I am really proud. The tv audience was big. Everyone is really pleased for 12th place. Staging + english song + classic vibes were part of the formula. Sad that the running order killed us on the televote. But still, better than taking 0 points.
And now... HOW THE **** Moldova came 13th?! Kirkorov is applying for corruption since he participated for the first time and EBU principals close their eyes. Come on, that is unfair. Really unfair.
Final words to Belgium that were killed by the televote, but were outside of bottom 6. That is a victory for me.
And finally, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Netherlands. Germany knows that it is possible to reach the top 10 with a good song. Netherlands too. United Kingdom for me was the injustice of the night. Poor James. BBC needs to re-think the approach for the contest and send next year a real star with a very good marketing campaign. Spain... sorry hermanos. I do not understand why we gave you 0 points? That was real strange. Not common at all.
After all. Congrats Netherlands and AVROTROS. Wonderful show and night.
And now... I am ready for the expected messy process from Italy.
Drama is coming. xheart

After such a long show, too long really, I had a few things that made me laugh in the voting.
1. The little :mt: singer is a spoiled brat, isn't she? Those expressions she made while the jury was voting are going to be unforgettable. She could hardly think that the worst was yet to come with the televoting. xrofl
She's 18, ok, but she acted like a 12yo.
2. The Swiss singer's face while the televoting took place made him look pretentious . He could hardly "swallow" what was going on.
3. Has anyone explained Barbara how the voting works? Because she seemed not to get (at all!) how Finland was suddendly first.
4. :sm: reactions after they've been announced the points from the televoters. xrollinglol*Wins as hilarious moment of the night* I couldn't see how this ended up a finalist in the first place. Such a mess in the SF, it didn't get much better in the final either. xcrazy
5. The :pt: vocalist's shock at the points they got from televoters. If they knew something about Eurovision, they would have seen that coming, considering how early he sang, for example. (I'm very proud of them, though, excluding Sobral's result, this was our best result since 1996. And I had some reasons to feel excited, I always liked the song and I always believed it could make it xheya xup. Thank you, Black Mamba for the awesome way you represented :pt: !👍😎)

In the end, these shows are becoming too long and boring. At least it's my point of view. xshrug Too much Eurovision kills Eurovision, imo. xshrug

In the end, this was my final top 10: (excluding my own country)

12 :fr: FRANCE
10 :ua: UKRAINE
08 :lt: LITHUANIA
07 :ch: SWITZERLAND
06 :it: ITALY
05 :bg: BULGARIA
04 :fi: FINLAND
03 :ru: RUSSIA
02 :se: SWEDEN

01 :es: SPAIN

Congratulations :it:, well-deserved win! xlove xcheer

I quite liked Gigliola Cinquetti, but Toto Cutugno was I think the single worst host I have ever seen at Eurovision.
ALLORA! Toto is the most iconic esc host (and I love how chaotic esc 91 was - with my all time favourite French entry! Hope we'll have that again next year and no Sweden taking the trophy from us while we were both 1st place. 😭)

The chaos did make rewatching more fun, but I do wish Toto had let Gigliola sing her song alone because the footage of her original performance was lost.

I mean it's 2022, I guess tables turned since last time Italy hosted and if they have some problems like Ukraine did, they can easily ask to the Swedish Television to help, I guess they'll do the same if RAI is shaky too.

Since 2014, I really feel that ESC has become more professional in a way and at the same time you can barely feel the host country DNA. Like this year felt very close to Israel 2019 in terms of stage, scoreboard and yadayada which was very close to 2018 then close to the 2017 contest. I guess we're gonna have another similar hosting next year just with an italian accent in the english.

Totally my thoughts as well! I mean, she had received 200+ pts from the juries and she was sitting there like mkay. It is an awesome score. I personally found it very annoying to watch. Too much focus on the competition and victory a bit over the top!

So happy for your country, it was a really deserved result, especially in the semi doing so well with both sides. I voted for Portugal 10 times in semi, I am glad Latvia threw some points your way there! You can definitely be proud of your country this year.
