Apparently, there’s a lot of buzz around Fernando Daniel’s performance of “Medo” . He creates two distinct atmospheres on stage, starting alone with his guitar in an intimate setting and ending with a powerful, explosive moment alongside his band. The staging is designed perfectly for TV, making the most of the stage and camera work. With such a stunning performance, he could very well be the winner of Festival da Canção! xscared
That sounds promising...

Unfortunately, the odds didn't care about such buzz. So he wins and nothing happens. Hurray.

The bookmakers should have considered the full picture before pushing Portugal to the top 10 before the nf even started, but what can you say? They did the same thing with Belgium this year...

People who believe the song was revamped are delusional. The song is already strong as it is — while it may not be his absolute best, it is still a solid track. People are entitled to their opinion, whether they dislike it or think it's just fine, but a revamp is not needed and would do nothing for the song. It’s perfectly fine as it is.

The live performance probably hits harder. The instrumental is powerful, and Fernando has a great voice. The song will resonate more when performed live, and that should be taken into consideration.

I doubt a revamp would even be allowed by RTP at this stage.

I am pleased that Cotovia is strong. Overall it seems the second semi is shaping up to be better than the first one. Hopefullly the finalists will be fair.

I'm 80% sure Fernando Daniel is going to win FdC which is... fine... I guess. He is one hell of a performer but the song is so... meh... In any other year I would be happy to send this, but this year we have a song that can win Eurovision, so to see us sending such a safe choice hurts a little to be honest. Anyway, I don't blame anyone who probably will vote for him (public and jury).

My thoughts exactly.

Well, I was wrong and they allowed a revamp indeed.

I am very surprised.

Super strong semi final in my opinion.

Fernando is definitely winning this.
Staging was on point and the revamp made the whole thing stronger.

I liked Fernando Daniel very much. He sounded so good. I liked the staging too.
And it was very kind of Rosa Linn to let him sing in her living room.

Henka's performance was very disapointing, vocally she was the worst of the night and visually it was too dark and to messy... I still want to be in the final, but there's no way she will be in the first 5.

Fernando Daniel! I was wrong about him, he is eurovision ready, the song grew a lot live and the concept can easily be adapted in the eurovision stage and I can totally see him leaving the small room, walking Basel's runway and join the band members in the front of the stage.

Napa... What the fuck was that? Bombazine's singer had his appendix removed last week, Napa's singer had no excuses to not move...

Fernando Daniel has a lot of stage presence and vocal control— but the song itself feels pretty uninspired and safe. It’s the kind of entry that would do fine, but nothing extraordinary.

On the other hand, Josh’s song is absolutely stunning and has so much potential, I honestly believe it could easily reach the Top 5 at Eurovision. It’s fresh, emotional, and stands out musically. Sadly, the staging didn’t do it justice at all — it felt underwhelming and took away from the beauty of the song. With the right performance, this could have been a real contender to win the whole thing.

It’s frustrating to see a song with so much potential being overlooked, but I understand why people are drawn to Fernando’s charisma and professionalism on stage. I just wish we’d take a risk— Josh’s song deserves that chance.xheya
