Gerbera is growing on me. As expected of Sambado. I already admired him before FDC and he did a brilliant job. He won't win and he doesn't expect (and doesn't even want) to, but it is a gem.

he can already go to the delegation and help the others on staging

Barbara Tinoco is so strange for me, sometimes I think it is very interesting and fresh for ESC, at another moment I find it such a cliche and heard 100000 times before..... :ROFLMAO:

I might start fading to Tinoco after a friend of mine who was there went to interview her and told us she even rolled her eyes during it

(he also interviewed Elisa and according to him she was super lovely)

I find Tinoco a tad annoying and unlikable. Or maybe she's just shy, i don't know.

She is really shy and socially awkward. I don't think she's actually mean or something, she just gets very nervous during interviews and stuff like that

I feel the same, sometimes I love the music, sometimes I just think it's a cliche, not funny

We will also have a NF this week, it will be in the TV studio too..and the final will be as well..so maybe it can be tricky for some acts... :D

Yesterday the show didn't work, small stage, bad sound and bad camera positioning, RTP will really strive in the Final, where everything must be much better, the results are surprising , rebellion not being great yesterday, they deserved the final (on a bigger stage they would be striking, I believe ) , Filipe and especially Throes + The Shine were fantastic yesterday, the best surprises without a doubt, they deserve the final, Elisa and Barbara were solid, very good both, Elisa for me has the best performance of the night and Barbara (the cameras spoiled a very successful performance) , I didn’t like barbara yesterday, but today when I saw it I was able to really appreciate the music, so, I think they were good qualified, Blasted were a long way from the studio version, so even though I love the music, I understand the non-qualification well (at the beginning the music is a bit out of tune) , this had a huge potential, if you work on the chorus a little better, we lost an entry with great potential :( I am totally without a favorite right now, it’s very balanced this year,I love Medo de Sentir (my current favorite), but Movimento and Passe-Partout are going up, curious about Cegueira 2 semi also.

After Blasted I found Elisa's song the better, the lyrics are just beautiful and it gave me winner vibes the first time I heard it, but I found her live performance lacking the emotion of the studio version and from a visual perspective her staging doesn't tells a story, an average viewer that doesn't speaks portuguese will not understand what she is singing about.
Unfortunately Tinoco's live performance is trending on youtube, nearly doubling the views that Elisa has got so far, most probably "Passe Partout" will win the contest.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the appeal, the melody sounds like a cutesy disney-esque song, the lyrics can be read as being about female empowerment like "Toy" and the stage does tell a story, but I'm tired of these songs at Festival da Canção trying to repeat the formula of "Amar Pelos dois" and I find the lyrics to much pretentious for my taste.
If Barbara wins I will not support Portugal this year

"Medo de Sentir" (acoustic version)

As I mentioned before, I feel that her semi 1 staging lacks storytelling and non-Portuguese speakers will not understand what she is singing about. If she starts the song looking to Marta Carvalho(or other woman), like she does in this video, it would tell the viewers something about the lyrics: she is sharing her pain with a friend

I am still mourning Rebellion not making it to the final. I was very disappointed to see and hear their live performance, the song lost so much potensial. I would still let it qualify, but certainly I understand why it didn't.
On the other hand I liked the performances of both Elisa and Barbara. And from the other semi I am hoping that Cegueira will go through. That way I have at least 3 entries to cheer for in the final. I cant remember last time that happened.

@RainyWoods

Do you agree with me to cancel all this mess and just pick this:

xcry xlove xheart

Of course. I can't believe it's been five years since that performance happened. Time flies by too quickly. It makes the hairs running down the back of my spine stand on end. It could have been one of my favourite Eurovision entries ever.

Literally...
And who knows, maybe her ESC performance in Vienna would make it even my fave esc entry..there was quite a huge possibility..
You won't believe me, but I went now to find comments and our conversation in Portugal 2015 thread..such a divine nostalgy.. xlove Your descriptions of Simone's performance during and after that semi are everything. xheart
