A random draw that 3 years in a row has been giving jury favoured countries good places. Really?

That might be true, but there's literally nothing suspicious in randomly drawing which half to perform in. Nobody decides that - it's pure a luck and chance thing. Sweden and Australia didn't get handed the second half, nor did Portugal and Italy get handed first half. xshrug

Re: PORTUGAL 2017

I know you're hurting, so this isn't entirely fair, but the way you rate entries/talk to people around here isn't entirely fair either, so what goes around I suppose...

+11111111, Portugal is quite a sure non-qualifier at the moment

Keeping this for the records

Also you said this in October? So...nice job.

I love it when my favourite things collide! Lovely to see that she actually has some interest in the contest, bodes well for the US broadcast!

She will be the commentator for the USA's broadcast of the final this year :D

I was a little concerned that I did watch his NF performance way too often this year, so that I wasn't impressed by his actions anymore. But his reaction to the overwhelming applause was touching and he and his sister were fantastic in the green room and the qualifiers announcement. The song is still the simpliest and sweetest thing I have heard in Eurovision xheart

Soooo I was just sending the link of his performance to a very good friend of mine in Manila. She never heard or watched any Eurovision song before - this was her very first contact.
She told me that she could barely fight back the tears and that she absolutely loves the song and Salvador.
Actually she wants to hear all the songs now

The friend I was watching with, said she would like Portugal to win xheat

And for the next year, please remind me not to hear the songs before the show. I think I like it a bit more to get to know them in the Eurovision week^^ (The memories of watching Kedvesem and Calm After The Storm for the first time xheart)

This is going to win.

My main concern with it, was that it may not score highly with the public votes. Particularly the Scandinavian countries, where, as we all know - they love their pop music and electro stuff. After the semi finals tonight, it is absolutely slaying the charts... and that includes Scandinavian countries. It is currently on 32k views on YouTube (Occidentali's Karma is on nearly half of that). The public are loving it.

I have no doubt it is going to come 1st (perhaps 2nd) for the Juries... and all the signs are right now is that it is going to do just as good in the public vote.

The momentum has really moved away from Occidentali's Karma (which I prefer, btw). His vocals aren't hitting it, and the hype prior to Eurovision just isn't translating.

Lisbon here we come, I say! Get your money on it now guys. It has dropped to 3.95, but still worth it.

I LOVED Portugal. I wasn't sure about it when I first heard it. But his performance tonight touched me, and I ended up voting for him! :) Beautiful! Really glad he got through.

Now? I mean, even TVE started promotion like two months ago

They had started promotion for the semi-final before obviously. This was made specifically for the final, already with our performance in the semi-final and everything, that's why I said that :D
