Many people seem to be worried by the fact that he will be performing his song from the central platform, so the audience could ruin the magic.

I feel very much worried about that indeed. But so far I seem to be the only one, can't find anyone agreeing with me. No idea about darkening the public, using small lights to enhance the performance... everyone seems so happy with the reheasal but I feel no one is really thinking ahead.

I don't know, but I do remember Anouk's performance in 2013, which was presented in a similar way as Portugal this year and, in the end, the people in the arena celebrating, cheering, waving flags, etc... kinda ruined the intimate atmosphere this song needed.

So I think it would be clever to move it to the big stage, but they are not probably going to change it at this point.

Indeed, you are absolutely right. Anouk could have been excellent but they spoiled the mood completely with the public. Portugal is blindly following the same steps. They should either move to the main stage as fast as they can or else use the public in their favour, like belgium 2010 or ellen benediktsson in melodifestivalen 2014 did.

Well, because the arena was empty, so nobody disturbed

Calm down people. There wont be any flags around that stage. This is year is prohibited. ;)

Is it really??

I like the background but like I said in another post I can only judge with Salvador. I really hope we can qualify!!

In the rehearsal she even looked like Salvador, with the suit and the bun

Everything is going to be fine, I'm sure they're aware of this possible flag issue

Luisa was so cool and funny and relaxed during this! Loved it. Props to good old William as well, he's a honey.

I like Luisa, but for me Salvador is the soul of this whole performance. In my eyes, he is the song actually.

Some of those white lights the audience sometimes have would look pretty good actually.

I know. It's very disturbing the way everybody seems to be so blind to this very simple fact.

Well, I have to say that it's not a major disaster or the end of the world. If Salvador has to win or be top-5, he will do it from the stage or from the central platform.
But it is still a kinda naïve mistake that has an easy solution.

The problem is not only the flags, but the whole crowd being in a party mood around the central platform (it's a party after all). This helps happy or uptempo songs (it really did to Belgium 2010, for example), but kinda ruins the intimate space "Amar pelos dois" needs.
But you can never know how the people will react ;)
