Calm down, guys. Like mentioned, there was some space for intimate stagings in 2010 for Belgium and 2013 for the Netherlands (all the dutch scarfs were kinda helpful imo). These are the first acts coming in my mind, thinking about a single artist standing on the little stage within the crowd. It can happen again, and won't take influence in the portuguese chances. We'll see, whether it qualifies.

Funny scene in yesterday's "daily update", right at the beginning: Before the rehearsal one person says "Portugal, are you ready?" and Luisa answers "I'm Portugal, I'm the whole nation." Found that so funny. xrofl2

By the way: Great job, Portugal. That song keeps growing on me every day. It's way better than any dancing ape...I wish you all the best.

Well, I have to say that it's not a major disaster or the end of the world. If Salvador has to win or be top-5, he will do it from the stage or from the central platform.
But it is still a kinda naïve mistake that has an easy solution.

I disagree with the first part. I think we're all at this long enough to know that an entry needs to bring everything together, however small, if it aims at a higher place. Staging can make or break. And this aspect, incidentally, is not small at all.

My heart is at rest now though, since we first started this conversation. Looking at the rehearsal it is easy to see the public will be darkened to a beautiful shade of blue. Some nice light effects can also be spotted, so I believe everything will look fine. The public holding some kind of light effect is even still a possibility although knowing the Sobral brothers I kind of doubt that a litle.

Still, Portugal is not in it to win. We all know who is, and rightly so. But a top 5 result would mean a lot to us and might do wonders for our future part in this contest. Fingers crossed xcrossed

Yes I think the audience might be darkened. And also, they probably won't be immediately next to the small platform like it was the case for Anouk in 2013, because we can see that the cameras move a lot around the platform during our rehearsals, so that area will have to be somewhat cleared for the cameramen to move.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that the current top 2 consists of 2 entries that aren't in english?

If we don't win then I hope it's Italy. Just because I think eurovision needs to have more songs in the native language of the representative country.

If neither do it then I hope Finland does it. I just love it .

Portugal has a favorite? Never thought it could actually happen. Not even in 2008 people were this crazy with our entrie.
