Anyway, continuing an issue which could be ongoing, please be like Salvador himself. Don't vote him just because he's ill or something like this. Vote him for the song. He wants you all to concentrate on the song, and not on his health. He wants to be treated as a singer, and not as a human case.

True, he and his family tried to hide the truth because they didn't want Salvador to be defined by his condition but you know how the media behaves, they made headlines and magazine covers with him about his health, and in the end it was impossible to deny.

And that's why I respect them so much, they didn't want to make all of a headline of this because these are very private issues - and should be kept that way. Salvador just wants to be respected for the voice he has and for the music he and Luisa can produce, that's it.

RTP said in the conference of today that Portugal is ready to host the Eurovision Song Contest, even that the financial charges could very high.

Well if the contest is well managed the final result is profit, as some host cities have shown in the past!

This song is starting to win me over, I find myself listening to this quite a lot recently.
I wish him all the best health wise and for ESC.

I was hoping to see those videos, only to see that they are unviewable. Things got interesting. Salvador is writing a program for Spanish TV called 'Manuel & Friends'? (Note that I used google translate to help translate the site, so I may have the wrong meaning  )http://www.escportugal.pt/2017/04/fotos-portugal-salvador-sobral.html

NO, no. The spanish brodcaster os preparing a pre-eurovision tv show called "Manel and friends". Manel being Manel Navarro... Salvador was just one of the guests ;)

I'm sure he'll be fine and her sister will do a great job while waiting for him. I don't think Salvador is an artist that needs a lot of rehearsals. He feels the song immediately. He is the song itself. xheart

I must admit that I'm gradually loosing my love for Amar Pelos Dois. It's the entry this year that I have been wanting to love the most. It's old, melodious, classic, 50/60s style is right up my alley. And being sung in portuguese is a big pluss. Also Salvador has a very soothing voice. So I instantly liked this entry!
But after weeks, I dont find myself listening to this anymore. And when craving portugese, melancholic, beautiful melodies I have returned to my highly beloved Carminho.
Amar Pelos Dois is still in my top 10 - but it won't be in my "all times ESC hits list"...

Spanish Singer Conchita (not Wurst) has shown her love to the Portuguese entry and has uploaded a Spanish cover. I can't bring it here since it's not on Youtube, but it's on her Twitter (@OficialConchita).

Well hopefully that love will return on Eurovision week! That's what usually happens to me if my love for a entry fades during the pre-season, it comes right back on the live shows!

Salvador just said in an interview to RTP that on Kiev he'll be standing on that little island in the middle of the arena, to make it more intimate xheat

(Actually, i'm not sure he had permission to deliver this information. But it is Salvador being Salvador lol)

He also said his favourite song was Occidentali's Karma, he likes Francesco and loves :it: xheat
Plus his sister, Luísa, asked him not to make any improvisations with his performance in Kiev (cause he likes to try many versions of the song) , and he says he won't do
