I'm quite touched actually that you'd think of me when hearing Salvador's song Mrm. You know me well. I listened to it and in those three minutes I swooned, gasped about three times, put both hands on my heart and got teary eyed. Jazz was my first passion and it's been a long time since i've seen someone connect their body with a song in that way. Every fibre of Salvador's being was in that performance. His voice reminds me of one of my all time favourite jazz musicians, the trumpet legend, Chet Baker. Such a sensitive and sincere delivery. Salvador's mannerisms as well had me in shock. He gave his body over to what he was doing and felt every note, and that's just how jazz is performed best. You don't just sing it, you live it. As for the song itself? Absolutely exquisite. The only person I know today making this lush kind of jazz is Melody Gardot. I don't have enough words for how much I love this. I haven't even heard the other songs yet, but already i'm begging you, please send this Portugal. You'd be sending something so special.
