I only liked Viva la Diva, but I don't really get what the two guys are doing there. As for the rest of the songs, I thought they were terrible. I hope sf2 brings something decent.

There is something about Salvador and his song that makes me feel particularly fascinated about it xlove

I'm quite touched actually that you'd think of me when hearing Salvador's song Mrm. You know me well. I listened to it and in those three minutes I swooned, gasped about three times, put both hands on my heart and got teary eyed. Jazz was my first passion and it's been a long time since i've seen someone connect their body with a song in that way. Every fibre of Salvador's being was in that performance. His voice reminds me of one of my all time favourite jazz musicians, the trumpet legend, Chet Baker. Such a sensitive and sincere delivery. Salvador's mannerisms as well had me in shock. He gave his body over to what he was doing and felt every note, and that's just how jazz is performed best. You don't just sing it, you live it. As for the song itself? Absolutely exquisite. The only person I know today making this lush kind of jazz is Melody Gardot. I don't have enough words for how much I love this. I haven't even heard the other songs yet, but already i'm begging you, please send this Portugal. You'd be sending something so special.

this comment will give me the strenght to enter the next week! xcry1

thank you RainyWoods, after watching this performance twice in a row (after nf) I'm somehow too touched, I'm crying now and dunno why cause I don;t understand lyrics at all..

At first it just sent me to Salvador de Bahia hystorical center in Brasil, cause this is based on jazz from Brasil i think...but now i feel so sad while watching it, somehow melancholic..that music/composition RUINED me completely..

I'm sorry Jon Henrik Fjällgren (and DaFlo :( ), but if this wins nth will be possible to move it from number one on my list I'm afraid..

Good for Sobral. A haunting performance that stood out in another pointless night. I really wished that they would bring something new to the table but then i realized it's outdated RTP so why should i bother? Well, at least there wasn't a depressing fado song so i guess it's already improvement.

Oh, I'd prefer a depressing fado song over most of these entries any day!! lol... but you are right; it would not be the best choice for the ESC.

Re: PORTUGAL 2017

I've just watched and listenend to all the entries from yesterday's semi. As many people my hopes were up high. And the stage actually looked 2017. The same can not be said0about the songs, though. And I can fully understand peoples deception... especially if you are not into "old stuff". Luckily for me I tend to love both 50s and 60s music: the word "outdated" is never used by me when talking about music. So I'm not hating this first semi.
BUT - I also like music from this last decade! And as much as I love a good ballad I also want to hear modern, up-beat music!

I really really enjoy Amar Pelos Dois! Easily straight into my playlist (not the ones for partying though...hehe).
But Nova Gloria? What??? This is just too weird...
Lisa Garden was rather good. But maybe it was just because that was the only attempt at not looking decades back?
The rest was rather forgettable...

But one thing is for sure: if there is any song in the second semi that actually sounds "Portugal 2017" and is uptempo it will stand out and have a great shot at going to Kyiv!

Re: PORTUGAL 2017

As long as Salvador wins I truly don't need the selection to be better........ I woke up listening to the song, gonna have my coffee right and I am still gonna listen to it.
P.S
I would rather have a selection where there are 6 bad songs one okayish one and one song that actually makes all the cells in my body shiver than a 6 week national final full of plastic fabricated pop song written/produced by the same team.

Re: PORTUGAL 2017

Salvador's sounds like something that would win back in the 1950s. No place for it in this decade xshrug
