Loved that Fernando Daniel didn't even win the televoting. Nuno Feist thought that by choosing the winner of The Voice he would automatically win, but hey, a bad song is a bad song no matter who sings it.

Re: PORTUGAL 2017

I LUV the winner, top vocals, camp presentation with male backings dressed like that, a bit of opera, key change, trashy ballad at it’s best! But Salvador has to win this…that is smth i have never experienced at ESC, smth fresh, new, interesting…I just waited for Jose Carioca from the Disney cartoon to appear on the stage next to this magnificent singer…I missed the pictures from the old town Salvador de Bahia (Brasil) in the background, but maybe the magic is I could actually imagine ’em while I’m watching that haunting performance..thank you Portugal for this wonderful surreal experience! xheart

Re: PORTUGAL 2017

If France would send that kind of song people would call it a winner.

In the 2nd listen the tear appeared to my eye..and his eyes are with such a beautiful color..like a facades of the old buildings in Salvador de Bahia in Brasil (this song has an inspiration in music from Brasil btw)..

Re: PORTUGAL 2017

I'm quite touched actually that you'd think of me when hearing Salvador's song Mrm. You know me well. I listened to it and in those three minutes I swooned, gasped about three times, put both hands on my heart and got teary eyed. Jazz was my first passion and it's been a long time since i've seen someone connect their body with a song in that way. Every fibre of Salvador's being was in that performance. His voice reminds me of one of my all time favourite jazz musicians, the trumpet legend, Chet Baker. Such a sensitive and sincere delivery. Salvador's mannerisms as well had me in shock. He gave his body over to what he was doing and felt every note, and that's just how jazz is performed best. You don't just sing it, you live it. As for the song itself? Absolutely exquisite. The only person I know today making this lush kind of jazz is Melody Gardot. I don't have enough words for how much I love this. I haven't even heard the other songs yet, but already i'm begging you, please send this Portugal. You'd be sending something so special.
