I feel the same... I had really high hopes for this semifinal, I was working today and I keept thinking 'can't wait for later tonight...'
Maybe one day we can have a FdC as good as we deserve...

RTP is so lost in time it hurts. It's literally like they are trapped in the 1990s when it comes to Eurovision. I can't believe they can produce The Voice so well, and yet they can't find a good and modern team to be our delegation for the ESC. How is it possible that our delegation goes to Eurovision every year, sees how the show is done and how the entries are, and come back to Portugal and delulde themselves that they're trying their best?
I hope our entire delegation gets fired and completely replaced with people that aren't trapped 30 years ago. Hoenstly, even these ridiculous medleys that's happening right now as an interval act show RTP's mentality. They do this every year, in the SFs and the Final.

Babe, calm down ok? It was a joke! And yeah Krista song is far more modern than any of these songs. The problem with FdC is that the songs aren't modern enough. They always seem to go flat. And like I said A MILLION times I want something modern with a Portuguese twist.

And yes... Krista is modern.

I think the only chance Portugal's got is what the Netherlands did. Select internally a famous artist with a good song. Only after we'd get some good results and the popularity of the contest rises, should we try a NF again.

Do you know, if any of the popular artists in Portugal is interested in taking part in ESC? If some of the big names wrote songs for FdC this year, then why cant RTP just chose any of them internally? I have heard some of the writers/artists are really good when it comes to their own songs. Though Im afraid RTP (i dont trust them actually) would advise the selected artist to write a typical FdC-song
