I actually love this song a lot. I just wish it would remain that feeling it has at the beginning more throughout the song. It falls a bit flat in the chorus and it's dull to hear that like 10 times over at the end.

There's actually an expansive verse that would last about half the song. The studio version at 3.13 would likely cut the end down to fit at 3 minutes. I think the chorus has some catchiness, but because it's fluid not in a potentially annoying short hook kind of way like the Danish winner a couple of years back that was so overrated.

Ok, that's good and now I understand why every single song of the FdC sounded like a demo! This song actually needs... not a revamp... but first of all an instrumental worthy of being called so!!!

The reason it won was partly because it didn't sound like a demo. Changes can make things worse so be careful what you wish for.

It's better than the Danish song that 'took home the trophy' To be the winner now you probably have to sing in English anyway, so I'm glad they didn't give in to that.

Full marks for singing in Portuguese, but that's about it. The song just goes nowhere, I'm afraid it's another semifinal death for Portugal again unless it's revamped or something.

Not really a bad song, but it's simply too weak for Eurovision and it doesn't stand out in any way. The only good thing is that it is sung in Portugesse. A qualification will be "mission impossible" for this, I believe.

For something to be 'too weak for Eurovision' it would have to be an absolutely terrible song, which it isn't and you say it isn't. Whether something qualifies is hardly a certain indication of whether a song is good or not as well.

Wow - what just happened? Untill now I have only listened to the live presentation of this song in the NF. But now listening to the studio version I dont find this bad at all. I think Portugal just snuck into my top 10...
A revamp is more than welcome though! Because this song will easily slip out of my top 10 again when we have the last songs.

It was the semi performance which was weak. The final one was good.

The only explanations I've got is that some heard a bad performance, they don't like her look, they want it in English or they want it overproduced and loud like most Western chart music these days.

I heard a good performance right away and liked it immediately. I'm not tied to the sound of modern Western chart pop or songs sung in English.
