Well there were many Portuguese posters online who were upset that the same names were being invited and that there wasn't anyone new Maybe they could have spent the money on better composers then using it all on those ESC style scorecard graphics

Possibly none of the songs would do well in ESC.

The songs were disappointing as usual.The sound was really really bad. It all sounded like a miserable karaoke club.
The backing vocals were stronger than the main vocals, the music could barely be heard, it all sounded distorted.
And I still can't get over that horrendous camerawork for Catarina. X-OI

I think that everything in this show was horrible. The hosts were awful. The acoustic... bah!
As you said, not only the backing vocals were stronger than the main voices but also the instrumental. It was... terrible.
I still don't understand what the heck Catarina is singing, just "Mea Culpa" and "Desculpa". Everything is distorted.
Let's hope next Saturday everything will be different.

My fav song was (by far) "O Teu Segredo" by Lara Afonso. Of course, she didn't pass... how typical.

From the rest of the crappy entries, might as well be Catarina Pereira, even if she did have a better song in 2010.

I know. I enjoyed listening to "Canta Por Mim", and it was my favorite back then. When I heard "Mea Culpa" was going to be a sequel of "Canta por Mim", I was affraid they would only change the lyrics. Unhappilly, I was right.

I enjoyed that performance so much..it's original to me..and smth new..it just gives me good vibes..

But I'm afraid for Portugal resultevise in May, with anything they pick actually.. :?

Yeah I basically know that but i don't find it that cheap like Portuguese ppl always tell me about it! maybe cause our turbo folk, here is so much cheaper.

It's basically our equivalent to the danish stuff like Toy-Box, Daze, Cartoons or Aqua for example, with sexed up lyrics for the most part.
It's just not regarded as intelligent music, but everyone will dance to it in the local holidays whenever they play that stuff in "bailaricos".

And she spends almost 2 minutes on her 3 allowed saying "eu quero ser tua" in case we haven't understood... I hope in the end she was his and that they spend a great night together ! :twisted:
