Re: PORTUGAL 2014

They know we're picking a winning entry so they're coming all Rui on us just to mislead us. It's all a conspiracy really and these foreign women singers their own secret agents. We're not buying it though, we're keeping watch.

Europe, we see you

Re: PORTUGAL 2014

I'm not saying he isn't lovely. He is very good looking.
He's voice is the thing that really annoys me. He has those kind of voice tones that work really well in broadway show's but are very boring and monotone. It sounds the same throughout any song he sings.
All these support videos just seems a bit too much imo.

It's called "Martakis plain voice"

Rehearsals taking place in Lisbon right this minute. No photos or videos allowed though, but something might leak sometime one hopes.

This keeping us in the dark is extremely nerve wrecking...

Re: PORTUGAL 2014

Translation anyone?

01 | "Mea Culpa" | Catarina Pereira

The two led screens that make up the stage have red and blue colours, even though this might not be the definitie colours of the performance. Catarina is in the center of the stage, with the 5 dancers dancing an acrobatic dance around her. The song has a loth of rhythm. "Mea culpa" is very different from "Canta por mim" and "Sobrevivo", but the style of the composers is still audible in the song. The song has everything to pelase eurofans.

But does it even matter that few ppl posted their videos to support Rui? I mean, I think it won't change anything cause thousands of people who will vote in the NF don't even know there are such things in the net. Or majority of them don't...

02 | "Eu Vou" | Ivo Lucas

As expected, Ivo's song is a "pop ballad". The stage colours are "orange and pink". His song is described as "easy-going" and "catchy".

But does it even matter that few ppl posted their videos to support Rui? I mean, I think it won't change anything cause thousands of people who will vote in the NF don't even know there are such things in the net. Or majority of them don't...

Exactly! Let him have some fun. I doubt he will win anyway.

What a long break... xcrazy
Poor Suzy... At this pace she'll only rehearse at 3:00 am

I seriously don't know what the point of rehearsing at night is. It's not even a dress rehearsal, it's the actual initial technical rehearsals!

03 | "Nas Asas da Sorte" | Zana

Zana is in the center of the stage in a raised platform, with the other people on stage interacting with her througout the song.
Drums and balkan sounds appear through the song, that can be descrived as a pop-folk song, apparently in the Eurovision style. Zana has a powerful voice and can surprise the audience. She is the most experienced singer in the contest and it shows. Apparently she is a strong candidate for victory.

I felt they weren't very enthusiastic, so maybe we'll have to look for our winner elsewhere... though right now she's my best bet.

I do believe you would like Canta por Mim better if you could see how well crafted its lyrics were. I'm sure it wouldn't sound so cheap to you then :)

Indeed, the lyrics were excellent, certainly not cheap.
And Zana appears to be a dark horse based on the description.

They seem to have loved this... I've got a suspicious mind though xthink
