Unfortunately he'snot, I've seen many foreign fans liking that song, which is incredibly strange in my opinion. It's so horrible!
I just hope and pray we won't end up with a song like that at the ESC this year, even if the result would be decent!

I love "Não é verdade" and "Seja agora"! I doubt they'd do very well at the ESC, but I wouldn't mind songs like those

"Seja agora" is great indeed, it was in FSC here... I think a song like that could do pretty decent in ESC as it's very charming.
"Não é verdade" is a boring generic ballad though imo
, the juries could support something like that but doubt the televoters would

I don't think so. RTP may be conventional and not very creative as far as ESC is concerned, but they are not pimba fans and they wouldn't dare repeat the joke once again. Too many voices would be raised in wrath

I think that what mono means by pop is really young danceable choreographed uptempo songs. In a way, it is true that we don't have many of them, but of course the definition of pop is much larger than that.
I'm not really their fan, but I'd love something like this:
It's very Portuguese and it's original and extremely catchy.

That's not really an arena though is it? I would prefer if it was at an actual venue, like Campo Pequeno (the venue for 2010) or Pavilhão Atlântico, now actually called MEO Arena.

Still, I would rather we stick to Portuguese. I don't think our lack of success is due to the use of our own language, but to the blandness or downright awfulness of our compositions which would remain the same if sung in English. I know that I'm sort of A-Listering here but a great part of my loving eurovision is due to its multicultural diversity and that kind of seems lost when everybody sings the same language. On the day every country follows Azerbaijan's example I'll probably stop watching as I'm not gonna be interested anymore.
In a way, I feel sort of proud of Portugal in ESC solely because of their stubbornness towards this matter. There are many things that need changing in Portugal's approach to ESC, but this is not one of them.
