if he placed 4th in the jury vote and the televote had the same top 4 as the jury vote, he could have only placed 1st to be 2nd in the overall ranking or am i missing some other possibility on how he would place 2nd in the combined results otherwise?

TVP is just trying to give us the due drama and the fandom meltdown that is very much needed in every Eurovision season. And I'm loving it.

To be honest, the amazing ( and one of my absolute favs ) Ochman kinda deserved the jury kill with that cheap-*ss effects they filled his performance with.
And those zombies. If they had him alone on stage singing his heart out with a nice effective backdrop he would have done better with the juries too.
He just needed a mini orchestra that would clap during the chilling claps his song had

True. Sometimes less is more with visual effects. And darkness is a tough sell always at Eurovision. They made River unnecessarily darker. In the NF it was so mellow and gentle.

might be accurate. If Jann won the televote, then he had 19 points overall (7 jury + 12 tele), so 19 points needed to get a second place, Dominik with his 10 jury points was 3rd so no more than 3rd in televote, and Blanka only needed 8 points from the televote, but she was likely 2nd.

that would be also an answer to the question why wouldnt tvp show us who did actually win the televote

No surprises, the national final is an unserious dumpster fire of songs. I wan't to enjoy 'Solo', but Blanka's enunciation truly drives me away from at least a catchy song. Is appropriate?

he can't place 2nd overall if he's neither top 3 in the televote nor the jury vote, that would not work, not even the swedes could come up with a fun new formula that would make this work.

places 5-10 were kind of random but i think even then, both rankings had Ahlena as their 10th spot if she placed 10th overall (max 9th in the televote if 9th and 10th were the same acts as the jury vote, since the jury vote is always counted stronger if two acts get the same points in the combined results) and then it must have been the same songs on 9-5 with the occasional switch since the combined results have the same songs the jury placed in the second part of the top 10.

3rd and 4th must have been Dominik and Felivers and by all maths idk where else to put Jann than #1 if he came 2nd overall and the jury placed him on their 4th spot.

Overall, Jann's performance was overdone and not quite the best vocally - but those are the things you can actually work on until May. On the other side, the blandness of the entry itself... it's a bit harder to erase even with the best of performances.

Is it possible that he was 2nd or 3rd with televote whereas somebody who wasn't nor Jann nor Blanka was 1st, but low with juries?

but juries vote on '' hit '' potential too, Alicja's song was an utter bore. I dont say that Solo has hit potential, but I can truly see why the polish jurors voted like this. Sometimes juries try to go with '' what young people may like and whats trendy '' in esc.
