Lol are people really mad that Jann guy didnt win? Just watched his performance, that was a mess.
Solo is not my thing as a song, but the performance was much better.
His performance was unpolished but you can work on that until May. It was still entertaining and his song has a great, current vibe. Also he has a lot of charisma.

Watching Blanka on the other hand is as exciting as watching paint dry.

You can dislike it, but on Eurovisionworld it has a rating of 4.9/5, while Blanka has 2.2/5.
And honestly, the quality of his singing/breathing didn't matter. It's obvious that the "contest" was rigged. Even if he sang like an angel, it was simply predetermined that Blanka would win.

His vocals and breathing were truly awful
Not denying that but you could hear that he has the potential to do it but he was flailing around the stage to compensate for the lack of everything (they gave him some lights and a black box like wow, great staging guys). With a better stage show he could focus more on vocals.

I mean even if it's still messy at least it's still more entertaining than Blanka :'D She lip synched for her life... on her own... and lost.

So, I didnt follow this selection at all, but the apparent favourite sounded tragic also.

Poland got their act together much better last year.

Exactly, people mostly mad about how clearly rigged it was.

and blanka was singing over a loud backing track unenthusiastically, she's far from a whitney houston and doesn't have the charisma of sup-bar singers that can still rock a show like J-Lo (or to say it in eurovision terms, eleni).

solo is not bad, it's just painfully average with a sup-bar live performance and the entire selection process is what made people angry over its win, not the song itself.

I feel Poland was screwed in every scenario.
Blanka wins, she may get through SF2 but she will be killed by the juries in the final, and she will have a bad score in the televote too.
But I don't feel Jann would have got THAT better because he is a bad performer too.
And I have to remember that juries hate Poland, so Alicja and Dominic would have flopped too because they would have not had the televote.

Couldnt care less more about solo, its nothingly as a track and shes got the energy of a rock but its not like Poland lost a top 5 contender with Jann as some people say. Its not the first time we see a fanfavourite being a mess live and a nothingly track stealing the win
I dont know much about this national final but based on what I heard, I even doubt it was rigged, jurors vote on the vocals they hear and not on what he may sound in the future if he practices.

"Juries hate Poland" obviously is not a tinfoil hat conspiracy, unlike the shit that I say elsewhere about elser things.

Well I certainly lost the chance of having three entertaining minutes in May, now it's another boring three minutes :c

Juries hating Poland is a scientifically proven fact actually!

To be honest, the amazing ( and one of my absolute favs ) Ochman kinda deserved the jury kill with that cheap-*ss effects they filled his performance with.
And those zombies. If they had him alone on stage singing his heart out with a nice effective backdrop he would have done better with the juries too.
He just needed a mini orchestra that would clap during the chilling claps his song had 😭

No matter how hard Jann flopped (the guy hasn't even bothered, he smiled viciously the whole performance to the audience knowing this was rigged), his performance was still Madonna and Lady GaGa combined next to Blanka's.

There's another thing I would admmit though. Maybe he wouldn't have won even if this weren't rigged because his performance is still too much for most of the Polish people. To be clear.

Solo sounds and look particularly tragic if you play SloMo before and after

someone predicted solo winning because TVP wants to send as many people to eurovision as possible because they employ their own staff for these things so i guess these demons appeared so they can employ 5 more dancers and someone had to programm the VFX after all.

some people on here clearly just don't like jann's song but how does that justify a highly questionable jury-ranking.
this interview is so funny because the reasoning the head of the jury gives for the low placing in the jury ranking is that "people" didn't vote for jann (when he most likely won the televote, otherwise he would be 3rd overall – it was a question about the juries but she made it about everyone lol) is that it was "too dark in these dark times of war" and that "blanka has this fresh type of international pop that would work on radio" about her that's needed for her to convince the european public. she even admits that from the performance today she could not really tell whether blanka is a good singer but that "she did great overall". sorry but this is some big a** bs.

if he placed 4th in the jury vote and the televote had the same top 4 as the jury vote, he could have only placed 1st to be 2nd in the overall ranking or am i missing some other possibility on how he would place 2nd in the combined results otherwise?
