The Amsterdam performance was wonderful and that audience reaction caught me by total surprise. I suppose after a month of reading the same broken record comments around here and other places, I just wasn't expecting such a warm response. Goes to show that the loudest voices aren't always the most significant. The crowd loved it and fingers crossed Europe will as wellxcrossed

His live is better than the studio version. Awesome. I didn't expect the crowd to sing along, I think they'll do this in Globen Arena also.

It would be nice. In this case they don't have to put any fake applauses. ;d

I am going to slightly exaggerate now, but the contrast between all the skeptical predictions about Michal being laughed at or booed or whatever and the reality reminds me of a certain situation from 3 years ago. In 2013, someone came up with a truly bizarre idea that Karel Gott should perform at Rock For People, the biggest Czech festival of rock and metal music, usually crowded by dozens of thousands rock lovers and metalheads, aged usually between 15 and 30. So, definitely not the typical audience Karel Gott normally sings his syrupy schlagers for. There were two theories about the outcome. First one - nobody will atend his performance, they will simply ignore that he is there. Second one - they will come to kill him. This was the outcome:

Well, Karel Gott is a legend! Who could NOT love him, even if you don't like Schlager?

The audience reaction didn't surprise me, it's such a sing along song and has a great melody. Hopefully Poland should get a great result in Eurovision this year.

Many people, believe me.

But this is exactly what I am talking about - as with Karel Gott´s typical repertoir, I wouldn´t say about Color Of Your Life that it´s an example of type of music I prefer. The reson why I love it is more in the way Michal (or in other cases Karel) sings it. I can´t really rationalize it, but there must be some haunting, hypnotizing and magical ingredience in it which makes me listen to it 5 times a day. (At least)

Why is that a surprise? People still underrate him and his song and are still bias for Margaret. This will hit top 10 minimum.

This entry smells like :ru: 2014, and we know what happens to them :geek:

They would really have to hit a home run with the stage show for it to be Russia 2014. Just like with Michał now everybody then knew Polina was an amazing vocalist, she showed it performing the song multiple times. But it wasn't until the rehearsals for the semi and people saw the presentation they set up that it really took off. Until then it was only to be predicted as top 10 and nothing else. So yeah it could happen but we just have to wait and see what Poland has in store for the stage show first ;)

:? I mean his vocals are fantastic but the song is just so incredibly boring. It doesn't even stand out like San Marino and Montenegro do; it's bland and unoriginal while at least those two are somewhat memorable.

I can only echo what's been said in here. Those who were pissed about Margaret, those voices have died down for the most part. I loved "Cool me down" as well but when you look at the live performance objectively and assuming you never heard the songs before, I probably would have voted for Michal as well. I'm not sure it's going to do as well as some folks predict all of the sudden but this can do alright, certainly see the juries going for this, so let's hope the televoters will follow suit.

This is definitely one of the the best vocalists this year. The performance was outstanding! Shame that he doesn't have a good song - if he did , then he would easily win in this awful semi.

After "Colour of your life" has been selected, I thought that Poland won´t qualify this year.
But my opinion changed after I watched the performances in Amsterdam and Tel Aviv.
And it´s also one favorite of a friend of mine, who usually predicts Eurovision quite well.

Will Michał eventually break the curse of the 2nd slot of semi 2? :) Its qualification record since 2013 is non-existent.

I don't want to piss off anyone, that's why I posted something about Margaret in another topic, because it seems like "Cool Me Down" will have an official music video really soon and FINALLY it will be released in Europe! :) I know that CMD fans are still in here, but I don't want to see another fight between fans, so here's the link to my post:

And just to make my post okay for the rest, I would like to inform you that Michał Szpak's album is still in the Top 20 in Official Polish Album Chart - last week it was #17, tommorow we should see a new chart. Anyway, the song is still out of Top 100 of the Official Airplay.
