So mediocre and amateurish.

I think that Polish language sounds better in ballads than in pop songs, works well in emotional ballads. I am sure that with a great ballad sung in Polish you can get decent result finally You need to find an artist singing great live to get juries support and then write a song which impress viewers. It's so simple

Yesterday, I watched the "Konkurs Piosenki Eurowizji 2011" again... OMG, I had forgotten how painful it was to listen! Fortunately, Magda won, she was the only artist in that lineup.

TVP please, choose a great entry for 2014!

Actually, I wouldn't be that surprised tbh.

It would mark 20 years since Poland's first appearance in ESC (with Edyta).

Though, I'd personally have someone else. Edyta is mostly a screaming/wailing mess these days, she sorta lost her vocals through the years.

No confirmation has been announced, there are some clues, though - one Polish page has published a news where the mystery man from TVP says "we have continous talks with her, no decision has been made but we'd love to see her as our represantative" ( even if the trustfulness of the website is doubtedly, just another gossip and celebs page). And for whatever reason she changed her profile photo on Facebook to the one from Eurovision 94'. Finally she has performed on a New Years Eve show brodcasted by TVP, the hosts of the event mentioned her act from 94 quite widely.

I actually don't want Edyta :/ She's passed her prime for sure... only a really strong song (and no screaming/wailing) could save her...

I still cross my fingers that somehow Halina Mlynkova's "Bóg Tu Zmarł" could end up being the Polish entry... that'd be awesome!

She is indeed but unfortunately more for divorce with husband and such things than music. Cannot recall any song from last years that would be widely known and become a blockbuster. She is commonly described as a kind of departed star, but I can safely say if she would be the choice than it would be the topic "people talk in buses about", of course having in mind the miserable PR of Eurovision in Poland ;d

OMG if this is true... ESC will definitely become more popular in Poland at least this year. Oh, the contest will actually be the No.1 topic in the Polish showbusiness until May. I'd like something like "One&one" for her.
One more thing is worth mentioning... she rejected the invitation to the 4th edition of The Voice saying she must finish recording her new CD, so...
