Ubernervous today. Ireland's 2 greatest medal hopes are in action. In the sailing, Annalise Murphy is effectively level on points with her Chinese, Belgian and Dutch rivals, so she needs to beat all 3 of them to get the gold, and beat at least one of them to win a medal. If she finishes behind those 3, she wins nothing which would be a shame because she was winning the regatta the whole way through :/
In boxing, Katie Taylor has won every world championship available to her and is a serious gold medal contender, but she's up against a British boxer today, and the Brits have an advantage when it comes to scoring from the judges. Obviously if Katie absolutely batters her opponent she will win, but if it's a close fight, her opponent could win on home advantage points because they will want to keep the crowd happy. Although there will be a large Irish crowd there too so the atmosphere will be absolutely electric. And whoever wins is guaranteed a medal, so there's a lot on the line. Good luck Katie and Annalise!
