Re: NORWAY 2016

Actually Mrm i'm listing to "Afterglow" now. It's nice enough and has quality to it, but i'm afraid it's not exciting me. I think there will probably be only one choice for me here, but I will give all the songs a fair chance.

Trust Norway to rise once again the level of the competition. xclap
They are all great quality songs. Even those that I don't like, I can see that there is hard work behind them. There's nothing amateurish here. No "let's hurry putting some notes down and try the luck at MGP".
But my favourites, by a wide gap, are "The Hungry Hearts". Laika is an old-school electropop song that could well be from an early '90s Pet Shop Boys album. It strikes all the right chords in me. Love it! xheart

Okay who has destroyed Agnetes song (is it really the right song?). It is two pretty okay but completly different entries put together?! Horribly made! It is like the song writers couldn't decide to go uptempo or ballad....

Well my fave so far is "Afterglow", quite modern sound but does also sound really norwegian folk over it, really nice! And "Laika" is hilarious, sure it will end in the top 4 in the NF! :D

Re: NORWAY 2016

I just christened my new Visa card with the purchase of The Hungry Hearts "Laika" from itunes. Best 99p I have ever spent. I do not regret. Now commence the spam. Forever lost in the sputnik space machine we shall remain.

Re: NORWAY 2016

I read on Twitter that someone thought that Hungry Hearts is like a butch version of the trio Pay TV that competed in MF 2004 and 2005.
Well I can agree some what, and being one that loved Pay TV, you can imagine that I really like Hungry Hearts too. :D

Re: NORWAY 2016

Wrote an article today at school about the yearly MGP scandal and my overall thoughts on how MGP have changed over the years, so I have only heard Freddy Kalas so far.
Going to check out the rest soon :)

Re: NORWAY 2016

I hope we don´t send Icebreaker. I feel like I am listening to two different songs mixed together.
Not to happy with the Laika song either...

Re: NORWAY 2016

Afterglow is the best song by far, but Norway is probably tired of low-tempo songs after two in a row... But hopefully not

Re: NORWAY 2016

A lonely drumbeat
out in space
repeats the heartbeat
forever lost.
Floating like a dream
in an empty room
a weightless Laika
looking at the Moon.
A homeless shadow
tracked in her course by the computer.
A little curled dog
embraced by endless space.
An echo of her life
floating like a dream
forever lost
in the Sputnik space machine.

She could have been my love.
She could have been my life.
