it doesn't look that bad (blazer), well to me as long as it doesn't look hideous, everything is cool. the most important for me is the camera shot

i'm so scared for them. if they were in the 2nd half I would be sure that they'd qualify.

This sucks....their staging is definitely different and interesting. I still think if say NL doesn't Q or something, this will take that spot.

someone screen grabbed the story to see the costumes better.
i like the style

I'm so happy their cases arrived with their costumes  They look fab!

I doubt that, there's too many bands in semi 2, just look at san marino being neglected despite being good.

Edit. The only good thing is that the neighbors is in Semi 2.

Guys there's always a shock from the odds, for me the most likely to not Q in the odds is Swiss, Portugal, and Croatia. But lets focus on Croatia, it's in my top 10 but I can see it NQ, just imagine, Serbia, Finland, and Moldova, (Malta a little bit) were all unusual entries, somebody gotta eaten among them, not all of them will qualify!

To prove my point, just look at what happen to Latvia last year, they lost to ICELAND! in televoting, did you even see that coming? Everyone says Latvia is a televote entry bla bla bla, then turns out Norway and Moldova eat/split their televote!

The only direct competition of Latvia this year is Azerbaijan but it's somewhat DOA. So the indie rock votes will pour on Latvia. But of course let's try not to be complacent and to keep on voting for it.

We all know the odds could take wrong and don,t forget that Latvia could easy stand out after Serbia and before Portugal. Not many entry in that semifinal is close to this songs and we have a lot of uptempo and show songs in this semifinal. I could easy see that Serbia, Croatia, Israel, Moldova, Sweden, Malta, Finland, Norway, Portugal and Czech Republic could fight for the same votes. Or a least that some of the songs will fight with each other. Like Serbia, Croatia and Finland. Israel, Sweden, Norway, Czech Republic, Malta and Portugal could easy end up fight against each other.

Then Ireland and Azerbaijan will probably get lost. The Netherlands and Switzerland could steel votes from Lativa, but both will probably fight more against each other.

So Latvia could easy end up to be that songs who only a few love, but still vote for and then be a surprice Q since other songs lost the battle against each other.

fight against each other
right!!? It's not like the voting is 12, 10, 8, 7 ... They can only vote 1 country for certain numbers.

I wasn't into this song particularly, but the rehearsal footage gives off a very laidback and calm vibe. It could be among my favorites this year even though it may not qualify.

My point was more that some of the songs could end up that people love Croatia, Serbia and Finland. But they vote only for let,s say Finland. When a lot of people do that. That could mean that Finland get lotes of votes. But Croatia and Serbia don,t get many votes and if many only vote for 1 songs it could change the result

Like if 100 people in my country Norway only vote for their number 1 and only 3 of 100 people had Latvia on top. But vote only for Latvia. They still get 3% of votes. If 25% has Finland on top and Croatia/Serbia number two. But only 2 of 100 vote for Croatia and 2 of 100 vote for Serbia because them are number 1. Then Latvia get 3% and Serbia/Croatia get 2%. Even if only 3% has Latvia and 2% has Latvia number 2. But 2 of 100% Has Serbia number 1 and 10% has Serbia like number two. Latvia will still get more points/vote.

Yeah i know some people vote for 2 or more country, but my points is that vote count. Everyone can a songs in top 10. But if you are number 2 or 4 and people vote for number 1. It don,t help you anything and hopefully people who love Latvia vote and that,s could help them enough to Qualifly.

I hope all Latvians, lithuania and polish people in Norway will vote for this. If them do it in Finland and Sweden to. Latvia could easy get 20 points only from the Nordic country :)

Thanks for doing the explanation because that's what I'm trying to imply.

If Latvia does not qualify this year, I don't know what they should send to qualify again. In a split jury/televote semi this song would have always been a qualifier, but I'm afraid it will get lost in a televoting only year... So sad for them, because it is one of the best songs of the year imo.

Since we have 8 (almost) safe Q in Semi 1 the remaining songs are fighting for two spots.

At this point none of the remaining is a safe NQ (although I think some of them are actually dead but you never know). Since most votes will go to the favourites I think the remaining don’t need many points to Q.
Maybe some calls are enough to get Latvia into a country‘s top ten.

I'm pretty sure that Latvia will be in the final. It's been so long since Latvia has been in the final and this is their best entry for years. The betting odds can be a good indicator a lot of the time but they're underestimating Latvia this year. They stand out as one of the more professional acts in the competition this year.

Also I've just remembered that if we look at Latvia's history at Eurovision, they were actually quite successful when it was only televoting in the semi final (2004-2009), including Qualifying in 2007 from a crazy semi-final of 27 countries and only 10 going through.
