I'm really intrigued as to the reaction to the ending. I could be wrong, and it might well be an advantage. I do so hope as I would like it go through.

I'm in the audience for the SF preview, and am looking forward to seeing these guys perform!
so jealous. I was able to get to the 2nd semi preview. which is also cool. i will need to hear your pointers on how to get the best spot in the audience after you are done lol

Speaking of... are we creating a telegram or watsap chat to coordinate meeting each other in Liverpool? i have a vested interest, since i'm going by myself and looking for a group to "adopt" me :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

never felt like this in the recent years of eurovision. first time the song I liked the most is on the edge of whether qualifying or not.
Me too I have never felt this way, its probably because Latvia has only qualified twice in fourteen years

I'm also super worried for them  I think this is one of the best ever latvian entries, and they deserve to break their 7-year NQ streak together with Georgia. My 3rd place so far indeed...

I totally feel you. Never felt so worried about an entry before. Usually my favorites are fairly safe. But I believe there's still hope, if people who love this come together.

Alesia Michelle, for instance is doing her best to mobilize people to vote :)

they are radio friendly
they are AMAZING live, the energy exchange between them and excited crowd is electric (just look at Polish pre-party)
they are a high quality representative for the genre.

Idk, for some reason as we get closer I'm less and less worried.
Also, I refuse to even think about thinking about my reaction to their NQ. All I see in my mind's eye on the 9th is me jumping up and downxcheer spilling whatever's left of my drink on equally excited people around mexcheers (I should probably get a beer or a transparent cocktail, so I don't stain any clothes: mine or anyone else's  )

I think it might qualify, hope hasn't been lost IMO.

In SF1, I think Azerbaijan and Ireland are dead on arrival.
I sense no buzz around Switzerland either and still see it as a NQ. Maybe NL will NQ and Switz Q instead if the Dutch vocals are horrendous, but I have a feeling that Mia and Dion will do enough on the night to qualify.

So the final 2 NQs are between, I believe, Croatia, Malta and Latvia.
I'm still not convinced Croatia will qualify, which seems to be a minority view at this stage.
Then one of Malta or Latvia could qualify.

Hot take: Serbia is not a lock. Especially if Luke is more like he was in the pre-parties. It's one thing to be psychedelic and weird, when it's polished and well sung... if it's a hot mess, it's not appealing. You can be a hot mess in a silly pop song (see: Solo lol), but not in smth like this. Esp if you have Latvia and Portugal following you, who we know will be close to perfect in their genre live. And then you have a weird crazy but polished performance from Finland to satiate that type of hunger at the end.

Konstrakta's performance was avant garde but infinity more accessible than Luke's will be and I dont see many people taking that into account that and the fact that there are two less exyugos in the contest

even croatia nor moldova is not lock. both of them have their counterpart/competition on such demographic, finland and portugal respectively. my own hot take is: I don't need israel in grand finals.

I'd certainly prefer Latvia over Israel going through to the GF.

Sudden Lights seem a very crafted band with a solid polished indie sound.

it's just a lot of people seem to be sure in Serbia, when the only safe ones seem to be Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
I'm a lot more sure in Moldova, than I'm in Serbia or Israel. But none are locks.
I don't know if Portugal and Moldova are in the same field though, and I'm actually more sure in Moldova in this pair as well. Serbia, Latvia, Croatia, Czechia and to lesser degree Azerbaijan and Israel because of ex-pats are likely to respond do that eastern european folk song/number. Mimicat is a pro and has been great live, but Pasha isn't too far behind. Moldova is also known for memorable, if sometimes kitschy, stagings. And it comes later in the running. Even though i think with 15 songs it's not THAT big of a deal.

definitely in: Finland, Sweden, Norway
definitely out: Ireland, Azerbaijan, Malta (ok i give Malta 5% chance, not more)

I'll put Moldova, Czechia, Israel in likely bucket. Not locks but I'd be reasonably surprised if they don't make it.

One of the ballads probably makes it. I'd prefer Switzerland. So that makes it 7.
Serbia, Latvia, Portugal, Croatia are fighting for the other 3. And as i see it they have pretty equal chances. depends on what Europe feels that evening since they are all so different and quite unique in the lineup.
