i actually think that soft ending is a prefect way to end it. they are building to crescendo and then SUDDENly the LIGHTS are out (sorry i had to lol)The soft ending might not help in the actual competition. It subsides into a tranquil conclusion, and that won't grab a television competition audience.

it's such a drastic change, drop off, that it'll surely be remembered. you can see in reaction videos. people get really into that powerful loud part sung at the top of the lungs, and then get startled by an immediate silence with soft vocals.
