Olga & Rigo can save ESC this year... but seems the juries are preparing us for Katrine to win xshrug

Katrine is great :D

"Saule riet" is good too. I like the concept, but there is still something that doesn't convince me.

Anyway, this is Latvia and normal songs have no place. Expect something like "Cake to bake"....

Why would Katrine win? She didn't do that well before, did she? After seeing the running order I'm most afraid of a sudden Aarzemnieki or Eirošmits televote victory, although I don't know what the jury would do about that.

I thought Katrine's vocals were terribly flat and nervous, and the song didn't help. I think she would run the risk of bringing home another last place in the semi - even if there are much more divisive songs, hers could end up there just by being completely disregarded.

Katrine's song misses the most essential thing with whole ESC though... an actual representation of its country.

But it seems the juries want her to win (best place in the final etc.)... we'll just probably end up with another middle-of-the-road westernized song in English xshrug

Does anybody know if the qualifiers from the semis were announced in the order that they qualified? I know that seems like a big no-no, but when I watched the second semi, the order looked very similar to the televote and internet's preference, with maybe some differences caused by the jury. Dons first, other Katrine (not Lukins, the one with a ballad) second, etc.

Do your posts just auto-complete with this phrase by themselves?

Yes! It should be a standard phrase because that's where ESC is heading... actually that's what the new name of the contest should include

Yeah, i believe there's a certain set of words that auto-complete every A-Lister post, such as: Anglovision, relic, disney ballad, wailing, no english!, sell-out, the list goes on  But that's great)

On-topic:
I really love Saule Riet, but honestly i root for "Revelation" more simply because i admire Ralfs and the things he does, both "Revelation" and "Sad Trumpet" are masterpeice songs, extremely original, it's not PER's fault people chose "Here we go", but maybe they shouldn't have submitted it in the first place.
I think this brilliant mind deserves another shot in Eurovision (but i believe they have to get rid of this long talk part in the end for the sake of better result).
I especially love him after this:

Ralfs is a really interesting guy with great charisma. I rooted for "Here we go" last year because of him, not really the song, because PeR made much better ones.
Just like "La mia città" this year. It's all about Emma herself, not the song.

I hope Dons won't win on saturday. Not a bad song, there are just better ones imo, like "Saule Riet" or "Stay".
