I am very shocked by that! RTP didn't seem to care much about JESC. Well I guess here we have a better chance of winning here, or at least finally reach the top 5
Let's hope RTP will take this contest seriously.

It's great news that has entered JESC after missing ESC last year, it's looking like JESC is going to be quite big this year!

Now i cross my fingers for FYR Macedonia, San Marino, Moldova and Azerbaijan, then we will have 18 countries!

I also really hope for more returns/debuts!
But i REALLY hope for Albania to return!

Well I never thought I would say this but it does indeed look like JESC 2014 will possibly have 18 countries or even more! Really hope Malta will do a good show and prove itself to Europe.

returning was very unexpected but very fun. JESC will probably have at least 16 countries if and confirm their participation. The highest number of countries competing since 2007 in that case

I believe that San Marino will withdraw from this year's JESC. The same will happen with Moldova I think. Azerbaijan & F.Y.R. of Macedonia I believe they will both take part again...

I think probably Macedonia will withdraw, it's gotten quite bad results in JESC and in ESC.

I don't think Moldova will withdraw. And as RAI is participating I think San Marino will take part.
And maybe the EBU will be able to persuade Macedonia to participate, they have been making a hell of a good job at persuading countries, but if they have another bad result I think that's it for them, at least for 1 or 2 years.

RTP's director said that there might be a relation between The Voice Kids and JESC. He said they will make the decision on the artist in September. Isn't that a bit late?

No, it isn't. For example Bulgarian national final in 2011 was on 2.10.
