As I said, Sanremo doesn't have a problem with female singers. The problem is televote. 75% of the voters are women and the majority of them are very young women. They just love their idols. They are ready to give them even the last cent of their pocket to make them win. Last year Angelina won because her main rival was Geolier, mainly followed by male teens, and because cover nights counted for the real competition (this year Giorgia would have been a locked in top 5 finisher with last year's rules). And in the televote she lost by a landslide aswell. If she was against Olly, she would have lost 100%. That's the reality you don't seem to understand. But we live in Italy and know very well that reality.

I think most people understand this reality (when music (casting) shows were a big thing here in the 2000s, it was exactly the same: big female audience voting for men).
But that's precisely the problem people talk about in terms of female singers.
Doesn't mean we think they can fix it somehow, or that the organizers are at fault.
Just describing the disadvantage female acts face in this competition and I this is - as you say youself - the reality.

I guess why this community doest say anything about Spain choosing 4 women in a row and mostly women in the past 15 years.

I had a long sleep. Giorgia finishing 6th may be stupid, but Clara at 27th, Serena at 24th and Joan Thiele at 20th is a borderline war crime.

God bless Italy, it's a magnificent country. They go their own way and do things the way they want, and I respect that, but fuck, they are unable to vote properly for anything.

Maybe Donà wanted someone from her winning team regardless of the ESC. Rai instead wants to understand if it is better to send him or Giorgia. They will all talk together and try to understand the strategy. Then it will be another 2 months before the song falls within the 3 minutes of the ESC regulation 🤣

If Olly refuses to go RAI is forced to ask Corsi, then Brunori, then Fedez, then Cristicchi and then Giorgia.

Yes. They changed the rule this year
This complicates everything. Either Olly will be 100% or Rai has made an agreement with the other singers. I see the second hypothesis as unlikely only because of Fedez's presence. He could be the only one who doesn't accept because he has a strong ego. Only that... I don't know... that image with Carlo Conti and the Ariston telling Giorgia in tears that she won... I don't know... Let's see how things evolve. The emotions of the festival continue with intrigues like "Game of Thrones" 😂

Please Olly, come to Eurovision. I need to keep having Italy on my top 10, and from the top 3 it's only possible with you.

I hope he accepts although Lucio wouldn't make much difference in my rank list (up or down) so i'm content either way.

I thought they had to decide before the final and also sign a statement of accepting or not to go to Eurovision. They changed the rules again?
They can say Yes before Sanremo begins but they have to confirm that Yes.
Otherwise it would have been a No. Case closed as Stadio did.
His tour starts 13 - 14 of May from Rome. So his manager will make all the affords to postpone those two concerts.
