Because he is Italian. The jury always gives a lot of points to the Italians, whoever they send. He would get plenty of them too. After a Neapolitian on Instagram saying he never uses autotune, I watch several of his live shows and I want my time back. His live performance is horrible, on live show he's either yelling or constantly off keys even with vocoder, I cannot see any reason jury will not give him Nul Points on eurovision.
Il Volo, Ermal Meta and Fabrizio Moro might particularly disagree with that. With the obvious exception of 2011, it's mostly been the televoters who've favoured Italy more than the juries. It's only been the last couple of years in which Italy have been a notch or two higher with the jury than the televote.Because he is Italian. The jury always gives a lot of points to the Italians, whoever they send. He would get plenty of them too.
I think you don't know the rules. The evening of the covers gives points in the general ranking. This victory for Geolier, added to the good placings of Annalisa and Angelina, make their position in the Top 5 a certainty. For 2 places there is now a competition between Mahmood (who is partially certain of access to the Top 5), Irama, Ghali , Il Volo and Loredana Bertè. It seems silly but what happened is serious. Then the fact that Italians experience music like football, Brazilians is a different matter.idk why everybody is so stressed about Geolier, he won a night in which they did covers, so basically American Idol night? Big deal
The jury hates rap and his vocal is even worse than francesca michelin when she got cold during eurovision.Because he is Italian. The jury always gives a lot of points to the Italians, whoever they send. He would get plenty of them too.
Whatever happens, there is only one rule:
I know the solution.Whatever happens this night, a civil war will break out in Italy. On social medias it's only "Geolier fans" vs "Geolier haters", mainly as "Naples and some young people all around Italy" and "everyone else". A lot of people felt Geolier's win was really scandalous, but someone also addressed what happened with the Ariston which booed him. And if he wins, I fear this evening Geolier will be booed again. Even though I despise his song and I'd ironically prefer RengaNek to represent us at Eurovision, I feel bad for him who actually did nothing to deserve the hate.
If Geolier wins, a lot of people on social media will insult him because "he won just because Naples". If someone else wins (Angelina?), I fear the hate will be even higher for him/her, in a Mahmood 2019 situation.
I hope this year's rules will be changed, because they give way too much power at the televoting. Why not changing the voting scale to the 12-10-8 system (or another scale maybe more adequate to a 30-people cast with only a few juries voting)?
always stay cool like a swimming pool.
He's not, he's sharing on SM messages of fans with multiple SIM cards ready for tonightI know the solution.
Hi wins OK. All Napoli will celebrate his victory.
But he decides to leave the possibility to go to Esc to someone else. After receiving so much booing maybe he has changed his mind.
Me too. An incredible lack of culture.I just read your comments and I can't believe that classy Italians were really booing after seeing Geolier getting that #1 spot
It could be the formula for their success: intransigence. Maybe if the fans in Germany had protested they would have made NDR wake up long agoMe too. An incredible lack of culture.

Geolier was alright but I can totally see why people were upset. When I watched 27 performances of the first night, I had the impression that at least 15 songs were miles better than his song and since Sanremo got so many high class vocalists and performers, it's strange that even juries seem to vote for him (otherwise, he wouldn't have slayed and reached #1 or am I mistaken?).
Now I don't know if it's worth watching 93849721843 hours of Sanremo tonight if we get a mediocre entry for Eurovision Oo
