I dont want to be hursh. Its not the right moment.
But guy are you deaf?
Did you hear how she sung during the covers night? All the criticts in various press reviews have agreed that her vocal interpretation
has been icredible and the lowest vote was an 8.
Please, its ok if you dont like the song ect ect but vocally the girl is fantastic
just to refresh your memory here is the link.

I think you are cultivating an illusion. Furthermore, not everyone can feel your own emotions. Last night Angelina wasn't up to par vocally and it also seemed unsporting to me to include a cover that would have garnered pity points. For the joy of seeing your talent show heroine win, a woman at ESC, would you also accept that she gets burned by the pressure and never recovers like Emma who burst into tears to apologize for her failure to public opinion . Let this girl grow up and get objective again. At this point, even if I don't like her, I prefer Annalisa. She is more ready.

given that eurovision 2024 looks like a taco fest, do fans still want a woman to represent italy? :LOL:xthink
Yep, right now we have:
-1 band (Norway)
-4 male artists (United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Netherlands)
-12 solo female artists (Israel, Ireland, Georgia, Greece, Spain, Austria, Cyprus, Slovenia, Luxemburg, Czechia, Malta, Albania)
-1 female duo (Ukraine)

Incredible!

Hopefully, my country will send a male singer, because the women artists will have a huge competition this year and there could be a lot of split votes between them.

I'm cultivating the same your illusion IRAMA
We both will be deluded.
But for me is different. I'll feel deluded only if Geolier wins.
I'll be so happy if AnnalisaAngelinaMahmoodSantiFrancesiClaraDiodato win

We send a LASAGNA, that's non-binary 🤣

So, I'm speaking to you as an objective musician: I don't believe in Irama for his vocal abilities but I believe in him for the song which is a poignant ballad that has its own identity (it's not so much a melody that It's generic but the interpretation is different from the others in the competition) and can do well at the ESC in a year of few ballads. Technically Irama sings with a "chicken's ass mouth" and also chokes the scream too much (a clever technique which allows him not to reach high notes and which, in in this case, it can take on the value of a scream of pain which, being unbearable to bear, breaks the resistance of the person carrying it out). We must also add his expressions which are sometimes grotesque (even if they hint at pathos) and who pronounces the words "with an apple in his mouth" or with a bite of sandwich between his teeth. If I have to tell you who the best are technically, I'll mention a few: Il Volo, Diodato, Fiorella Mannoia and Mahmood. I speak more as a record producer now, I see potential in Mahmood and in fact Spotify agrees with me. Change your mind quickly together with your friends or with Angelina and Annalisa, Italy will follow in the footsteps of Michielin/Marrone. Then follow your path if you prefer. Even though I'm sad to see potential wasted, I'm interested in Spain doing well.

This is a very strong edition, my favorite in recent years. My clear and way above the rest :12: is Mahmood. How I wish he could pull this off and score a hat-trick.
Angelina, Irama and Clara (I know, she's out of the competition) are also 12's. And yet, with this pool of great songs we will end up with I' p' me, tu p' te? Really?
I don't like Sinceramente, but it's way better than Geolier's non-event.
To sum up, I'm sleep deprived, had 4 days of the best Sanremo edition ever since I started watching it live and, I mean come on Italy xgaah, what are you doing to me?

My final thoughts on this year's San Remo Festival finale. I'll highlight the favorites for the win (or those I believe will make it to the grand finale, in no particular order).

Mahmood: I have to admit that I like the song more, but it's not at the level of "Soldi" at all, though for my taste, it is much better than "Brividi" (I didn't like the latter at all). Given what has happened in the various "seratas," his chances of winning are slim. I give it a 7/10.

Annalisa: For me, she would be the fairest winner of the Festival, and it annoys me that she won't achieve it given the voting in previous shows. A current song, great stage presence, very good vocally... The song is on loop for me, and if Italy sends her, it will be my favorite Italian song since 2013 (I clearly like it a lot). I give her a 10/10.

Angelina: I have mixed feelings about her. On one hand, the studio version is well-produced, different, and stands out. But live, it falls a bit flat for me. I don't doubt she's a good performer, but in my opinion, vocally she's not at the level of others, and as a song, I don't see it doing well at Eurovision. She'll probably go, and if so, I find it hard to see Italy entering the top 10 this year. I give her a 7/10, and that's for the studio version.

Irama: for me, another one of the many ballads that have won San Remo in previous years. Very good vocally but as a song, it doesn't bring anything new. I give it a 5/10.

Geolier: well, I honestly don't understand why there's so much criticism of this song, I find it quite decent, and the fact that he sings in dialect makes it more interesting (it would be the first time for Italy, right?). It's possible that he'll sweep the televote, but the specialized press won't allow him to win. It's too far removed from the essence of the festival, although you never know, remember that Maneskin won in 2021. I give it a 7/10.

With that said, my vote goes to Annalisa. If Geolier or Angelina win, it won't be a huge drama, although overall, the level this year has been slightly below other years.

See you tonight discussing the Grand Finale!
After a Neapolitian on Instagram saying he never uses autotune, I watch several of his live shows and I want my time back. His live performance is horrible, on live show he's either yelling or constantly off keys even with vocoder, I cannot see any reason jury will not give him Nul Points on eurovision.

As far as I am concerned I can listen perfectly, thank you. I am not saying she’s bad, but she can definitely improve. Her performance of la Noia, vocally speaking, could be better, and more if you compare it to the studio version. But, again, this is just my perception and how the whole package comes across to me.

Whatever happens this night, a civil war will break out in Italy. On social medias it's only "Geolier fans" vs "Geolier haters", mainly as "Naples and some young people all around Italy" and "everyone else". A lot of people felt Geolier's win was really scandalous, but someone also addressed what happened with the Ariston which booed him. And if he wins, I fear this evening Geolier will be booed again. Even though I despise his song and I'd ironically prefer RengaNek to represent us at Eurovision, I feel bad for him who actually did nothing to deserve the hate.

If Geolier wins, a lot of people on social media will insult him because "he won just because Naples". If someone else wins (Angelina?), I fear the hate will be even higher for him/her, in a Mahmood 2019 situation.

I hope this year's rules will be changed, because they give way too much power at the televoting. Why not changing the voting scale to the 12-10-8 system (or another scale maybe more adequate to a 30-people cast with only a few juries voting)?
