You know very well the difference between Sanremo and ESC.Is it about rankings or is it about performing the song you love the most? If he really was dead set on it and couldn't love it more than other songs in his head, there wouldn't be this doubt. Sorry but who cares about getting 7th place or whatever

So I was dragged in here by the Italians for saying it when Marco actually agreesI thought I read he considered changing it because it would be too generic to get a top spot.
I don't know if I am the minority here (didn't bother reading the pages before), but I actually prefer this entry to the 2021 and 2022's Italian entries. So Marco, just do what you do best, just look pretty and sings your heart out. At this rate and how dire the quality the selected songs is so far, this is looking like a guaranteed top 3 entry.
Maybe not as much experience as Marco, but Lord of the Lost has experience too. They toured with Iron Maiden last year and Iron Maiden booked them again for June in the UK this year.
I think many are underrating Marco's capacity to eat the stage.
By now is the only esc artist to make concerts in stadiums with 80.000 people and not only once. San Siro. Olimpico and this year Circo Massimo which contains around 100. 000.
Putting shows like those need high stage performering ability.
Just curious to know who is going to prepare his staging this year.
I think Italy is going to do very well with him. It's not in my Top 5 but I can see it beeing a Top 5 entry, especially with the juries. This year has a lot of bops, loud and experimental songs. This will stick out in a positive way imo. Right now it's the only ballad in the GF. Maybe Estonia too after the SFs.
I dont think Rai is involved with the staging. The artist, in accordance with its discografic label, decides what direction to give and how much to spend for the staging. Marco has a very important recording company after, so i think they have all the budget for a good staging. Marco has declared that ESC2013 has been very helpful for his carrier out of Italy and he travelled a lot throughout Europe, so I'm sure he isn't going to loose this possibility to increase his popularity abroad.Exactly. A totally different scenario from 2013, a year dominated by ballads (great ballads, I must say... I love 2013). I think our song isn't a top 5 entry, but won't be that far from being one in the end: it is a little underrated by the bubble, because the bubble is usually more into bops, but that doesn't mean it will fail in Eurovision. Marco is talented and has lots of experience, he will deliver, for sure. I just hope RAI didn't mess his chances with nonsensical staging ideas: keep it simple and focus on the singer and the song.
"Eurovision 2023" has been added to Due Vite official video's title.
I think there's no more doubt - Marco Mengoni will keep Sanremo's winning song in Liverpool.
