Sanremo 2021: Vote for YOUR favourite!

Loro non sanno di che parlo
Voi siete sporchi, fra’, di fango
Giallo di siga’ fra le dita
Io con la siga’ camminando
Scusami, ma ci credo tanto
Che posso fare questo salto
Anche se la strada è in salita
Per questo ora mi sto allenando

E buonasera signore e signori
Fuori gli attori
Vi conviene toccarvi i coglioni
Vi conviene stare zitti e buoni
Qui la gente è strana, tipo spacciatori
Troppe notti stavo chiuso fuori
Mo’ li prendo a calci, ‘sti portoni
Sguardo in alto, tipo scalatori

No

Io ho scritto pagine e pagine
Ho visto sale, poi lacrime
Questi uomini in macchina

Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
E parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cosa parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
Parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cazzo parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla

The art of listening is much more important than the art of knowing how to speak. The listener understands meanings and emotions without getting caught up in impulsiveness and consequently relates better to others and when he/she speaks he/she does so in a direct and not dispersive way. This does you honor, Mauve. For me you are the EscYOUnited Kanzler xbowxlove
By the way my mom is a classical philologist and studied Latin and the Greek language (and I had 9 years Latin at school). Because of her we visited Italy and Greece a lot and ancient sites (like Pompeii or Heraculaneum). xheart Want to visit Italy again one day to continue searching for the ancient culture! *off topic*

Great entry. Maybe not for typical Eurovision-fans and that's okay. But for people with a little bit of an alternative music taste, this is pretty cool. Also for rockfans. Finland for example is quite 'simple', this feels a little bit more sophisticated.

Just saw this live performance and liked it more than at San Remo. Also the white suits are looking pretty good.

Starts around 1:20.

It is possible that I misunderstood xshrugI don't deny it. Of course... I'm not going to reread all 107 pages to figure it out

Let's forget the past and leave everything to the music xviolin Give me five, friend:gimmefive:

Hehe it's ok, all I said was that the Italian jury had a tendency to vote quite conservatively in Sanremo and the contest was, not is, a bit conservative-leaning in style.

I also said though that things have become much better in recent years, which is probably why I also started to rave about the selection in this forum too. There has been set-backs though (for instance as late as in 2020 where there were some pretty cool options but the more "conservative" entries made it to the superfinal, but this year was more progressive with the voting, apart from Ermal which I am relieved didn't win although juries pushed him).

The Eurovision ver. doesn't feel jarring to me with the cuts made, which (hopefully) means that the casual audience in May won't notice what was cut out.

they cut a bit of the intro and censored a few words. Still no orchestra

Maybe I'm looking too much into it, but on Spotify, it's listed as being released in 2020, which makes me wonder if they recorded a Eurovision version ahead of time (and might explain why they didn't add in the violins).

I have to correct myself, because in last year's thread I said I was watching my 4th Sanremo, and surprise, surprise, the person that's bad at maths...was bad at maths.

With 2021, I've now seen 6 (!!!) Sanremos. Maybe "lucky" number 7 will include...additional reason to celebrate?

Also, did they ever announce who won the TIMmusic award? I know it's something silly to be hung up on, but I haven't seen any mention of it and I was just curious what happened, given that the award is tied in to the show sponsor.

It's incredible they had to '' polish '' the song.
Often the vulgarity isn't a word or an expression but so many other things for which ESC is very famous all over the world.

I don't understand this polishing up ... "coglioni"? "spacciatori"? Is this the rough vulgarity? xfacepalm Furthermore, these two words were not offensive but must be interpreted together with the context of the song. Often we Italians are accused and we accuse ourselves of being too "traditional" and instead ... the surprise comes from Europe! xgaahLuckily we were "old fashioned"! Sanremo has proven to be at the forefront! We are witnessing Hard Rock turning into a "castrated" Pop Rock ... even Glam Rock is more uninhibited! xfaint I realize that this world is much more subject to censorship than many years ago ... we are only able to create "fake revolutions", to flood empty messages with light, to shoot the famous "fireworks" they talked about with admiration some eurofans ... limiting freedom of expression xpolice is the gravest crime in existence. I am very embittered...xwall

Did I miss something? Had Maneskin to change/polish these words for ESC because they were too rude?

Colapesce & Dimartino have released another promotional video to teach us how to dance their song (which is on its way to become the most viewed Sanremo song of the year on Youtube). For some reason it's in German with Italian subtitles!

Speaking of vulgar performances or songs ... what was the most vulgar ESC performance according to you guys? I thought Ukraine 2009 was quite a vulgar one but there were certainly more intense ones in this regard.

That one was one of the highest moment 🤣🤣
Maruv would have been another high peak.

Yeah but I think the staging itself would not be over the top, 'extra' etc unlike with Loboda. Such a pity that Maruv got DQ'd for political reasons, I was looking forward to it so much! And I really liked the song and the choreography.

And yeah ... Eastern Europe have a noticeable track record when it comes to so-called slutpop entries.
