Mahmood is in my top 3 this year and I wouldn't mind him taking trophy. Having said that, soldi, soldi, soli clap clap clap soldi soldi clap clap come va come va come va clap clap doesn't deserve to win. Like I said the battle is between FRA and NED. Although, NED doesn't have whole 3 mins interesting to captivate u. No matter who wins, it will be lgbt win again.

cause "i'm not your toy cluck cluck you stupid boy" is the epitome of genius lyrics.
it's a refrain. to get people moving and involved with the song. Actually, I think it's quite genius. Both on Netta's and Mahmood's part. You get noticed because of something simple, or silly, but you grab attention, and then deliver your message once you have the crowd firmly in your hand.
Soldi soldi clap clap is amazing rhythmically. It makes you wanna move, rock side to side, be a part of the performance. That's a great way to get voters on your side in such a short term contest
Song is not just lyrics and music. Sometimes it's rhythm too, and how well the artist can fit the rhythm. Take MJ's songs. Do you know why they sound atrocious 90% of the time when someone tries to perform them? It's not because of vocals or melody. Plenty of singers have vocal capabilities at least as good as Michael had, but they can't be as sharp in their rhythm.
Soldi has lyrics, melody, rhythm and crowd involvement. It's a great recipe.

Mahmood is just a breath of fresh air in the competition. It was my top song for a while before all the rest of the songs have released and grew on me.
It's still in my top 10. I wouldn't mind if Italy wins to be honest The song is really good, lyrically and melodically. It's catchy and contemporary.
I hope the 'live' performance will be able to translate the meaning of the song well on stage so people can be more connected to the song as Mahmood (as charismatic as he can be), he does look a little stoic at times. But we know he can be a little sweetheart (he looks really cute when he smiles).

I wanted to see Italy win but it probably will not happen this year (again). Soldi is great music but it doesn't impress you at first listening and Italy will only do the full performance once unlike the semi-final's songs. They could reverse this advantage of the other countries with a great staging. But they will not. Italy is one of the countries that least cares about the staging and I think they will continue like this, unfortunately. My bet is that they will reach a respectful fourth place this year.
