I just can't believe what I saw. Mahmood has always been my favourite - I've been following him since years and he's definitely the most contemporary choice - but I never thought he could win. Seeing him on Eurovision? Unbelievable.

Where is he from, his origins?

I still can't believe how wild the audience became when it was announced Bertè was 4th. That was moving somehow how they rooted for her.

I'm sad she leaves San Remo empty-handed, not even a consolation prize.

It's an alright song, I don't hate it but I don't find it particularly interesting either because it seems to just plod at the same tone the entire way through. Kinda shocked it won but just a middle of the road entry If they go with it

Re: ITALY 2019

his voice annoys me

this season is getting out of hand. 8 songs, 2 good ones, but no x-fruit smileys and no 12 points on the poll from me yet

Re: ITALY 2019

On bold part: I think I will have a slightly bitter taste in my mouth till the end of my life...

There's still a small chance we could see her at Eurovision if Mahmood declines to go and those in charge take that obvious hint from the audience with regards to what they should do. I'd be scared though that they'd offer it to the 2nd place finisher. Soldi would make a great Eurovision entry that for sure would be in my top 10 entries of the year (probably very high). Cosa ti aspetti da me meanwhile could have been one of my favourite Eurovision entries of all time. Mahmood saved the night but he's also the consolation prize for me (though a very good one). I probably shouldn't be complaining.

Edit: oh never mind

If Malou Prytz wins, how much would you give her?

So Italy is not going to be my n°1 for a third year in a row :( Well things have to change, but I start to think this year is indeed a very weak one.

Same for me. The only song I like is Joninda's. The others … I don't care for. What's to come`? Ugh. I don't even dare to hope for Hungary. Probably someone I don't care for either.

Well, it was just my 11th place ...

I wanted Loredana so much (so far my favorite song this season) :(

As for Mahmood, I really like the song, not so much the lyrics, but I give 10 points (for now my favorite)

Thank you Italy for the best NF ever xheart

I also forgot one thing, does she want to do ESC due to her sister and you know everything, how the ESC stage could reflect to her state? :(

But you have already mentioned once tonight: She's a FIGHTER..

Only listened to it once, so will save the rating until tomorrow, but my first impressions is that this is Italy's worst entry since 2014. But it's not really my type of song. It's catchy though, so we'll see if I like it in a few listens. If I were rating now, It would be 4, but I'll leave it.

Well, in all honesty I don't know much about Loredana's other than that she's had a very hard life. Her sister Mia Martini tragically committed suicide during the 90s and that apparently led to Loredana suffering some very dark years. I don't know honestly if she would have decided to go to Eurovision, and I would have been fine with her decision had she said no. I just wanted her to win Sanremo. It doesn't feel right at all what happened. I know music is subjective but I think the reaction to her performances speak something very loud and clear. The audience reaction tonight both after her performance and after the bad news.... it was extraordinary. It's disappointing something so special wasn't rewarded with a trophy. At the same time though, touching hearts and moving people is better than a medal, and she did that so hard. I'm grateful for those performances.
