Thankyou for the rumours Franco...,,id love to see Dolcenera back,,shes getting better and better,,her performance of "ci vediamo a casa" at Battiti in the summer was superb and much improved from her San Remo 11 performance.Shes matured and would be a great ESC performer,,top class and contemporary but with some real vvvvrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!,,

It could be a good choice, but I'll wait for the full list of contestants before taking sides.

Oh, and they're asking for Gigliola Cinquetti as spokesperson for Italy, which is not a bad idea since she won in Copenhagen 50 years ago.

Its a shame the complete footage of her performance in Copenhagen was lost/destroyed. It would be great to see Gigliola as spokesperson in Copenhagen 50 years after giving Italy its first ESC victory!!!

Couldn't agree more about Gigliola,,it was and is an outstanding winner.Drips with pure class.I hope it inspires Italy to great things again in Copenhagen.Gigliola winning there back then is one of the reasons id love to see a young contemporary female Italian singer go next year in Gigliolas footsteps.
My personal choice would easily be Annalisa as I consider her the best female artist in Europe right now,and very much similar to Gigiola in being contemporary top class.
However if she isn't at San Remo and they go that route again for the ESC entry (not certain) then id be very happy with Dolcenera .

Italy needs to step up next year,they have sent 3 superb entries so far but they could of staged them all better.They have had probably the most "classy" song the last 3 years as wel,l but not quite connecting to enough voters.

They seem to have the most talented artists in Europe at the moment and I hope they really go for it next year.

The contest will be held from 18th to 25th of February 2014. The official list of contestants will be revealed on 18th of December.
Some of them will be, most likely: Negramaro, Giusy Ferreri, Francesco Renga, Arisa, Dolcenera, Clementino.
Less likely: Moreno, Antonio Maggio, Chiara Galiazzo.
Surely not on the list: Anna Tatangelo, Gigi D'Alessio, Emma Marrone, Alessandra Amoroso, Marco Carta, Valerio Scanu, Annalisa Scarrone ( ).

Guest stars: Raffaella Carrà, Renzo Arbore, Laura Pausini, Giorgia and Alicia Keys.

Thanks Franco,,they haven't said yet if the ESC selection will be a San Remo entry,,they could be considering selecting outside this year maybe.Probably talking to record labels etc to decide.

No surprise Annalisa wont be at San Remo, as very few ever return the next year.Look forward to the 18th to get the entries.

One of them will be revealed before: in fact X Factor winner will take part in Sanremo festival in the big category. X Factor will end on 12th or 13th december.
