I wouldnt mind Loredana Errore - I love her raspy voice.
And Anna Tatangelo would definitely be a favourite of mine; is she still recording?

Another singer of the most appreciated by the eurofans (I'm right, I hope :?) and by me of course, has just released her new song with Raf:

Probably next italian representative will be chosen from TheVoiceOfItaly, that will take place in Autumn. Guess what? The winner of the first edition was Elheida Dani, who was a contender in the albanian selection for Eurovision. then she came to Italy and won the show..
here's her debut single!

ELHAIDA DANI

I still think that next year we will send a woman: she is gonna be Malika Ayane (which has a beautiful voice but no strong songs), Ilaria Porceddu (previous xfactor contestant), or probably Nina Zilli again, as a return to Eurovision will be really appreciated from an international point of view!

I don't understand the connection between Elhaida's victory and the fact we will choose our next representative from The Voice... For the time being, there aren't any rumours about this... and it seems that The Voice will take place in spring, not in autumn (and if it's so, it can't be used for esc).

here's her debut single!
ELHAIDA DANI
She has already released a new single about a month ago:

As far as the identity of our next representative, I have a good feeling about Nathalie... xpray

Italy have flirted with the top 4 the last couple of years with superb artists but missing tricks with staging.Next year I hope they select Malika Ayane or even better Annalisa Scarrone. Both are superb performers with the wow factor.Malika probably has more "class" but her songs aren't really ESC fodder.Annalisa however is much more contemporary and could really shine.I think Italian music is the best in Europe at the moment with some superb artists. So I hope its Malika or Annalisa next year.

I don't give any possibility for Nina Zilli again, but if she comes back I wouldn't mind at all. Otherwise, since May I am cheering for Annalisa xcheer

It's great to heard something like this by a foreigner person. Thanks! :p
Me too, I'd be happy also if Malika or Annalisa represented Italy, also if my first choice is Nathalie (or Simona Molinari, but I don't think she'll go to Sanremo again next year). However, my doubt is about the way of choosing our representer: if the way is Sanremo festival, it would mean that Malika, or Annalisa (or Simona) should take part again to it... and it isn't very probable. Instead, Nathalie went to Sanremo in 2011 and she's going to release her new album...
Anyway, also Annalisa is working for a new album and it seems it will be released in 2014... :)

Me, too! I'm all for Malika Ayane or Annalisa Scarrone! xcheer
But they've both been in Sanremo last year and singers rarely go there two years in a row. We can only hope. xcrossed
I think that in september there will be the first leaks on Sanremo's next contestants.

The last two years Italy didn't stage the songs right,Nina was superb but the staging was all wrong and her shouting "Europe clap your hands" destroyed the classy performance. This year again they should of had acoustic instruments on stage.

I hope next year they stage better.San Remo is a superb contest and the standard the last few years has been incredible but id maybe like to see Italy not use San Remo to choose the ESC act every year.Malika and Annalisa are probably the two best female artists in Europe right now and with the right song would be certain challengers in Denmark. Its a tough call but I think Annalisa just edges it as shes very contemporary and will connect better with other countries.
Something like Tra Due Minuti è Primavera would transfer well to ESC with its great key changes and bridges,.Annalisa is a master at pitching key changes, and as Emmelie showed this year a key change delivered right is one of the things that wins Eurovisions.

The problem Italy have in winning ESC is their artists are superb and the most contemporary in the contest, but the songs haven't quite had enough hooks to get the votes across Europe.Almost too classy sometimes.

Im really looking forward to San Remo though and the Italian ESC entry next year.Gigliola Cinquetti - Non Ho L'Età won in Denmark for Italy in 1964 and remains a marsterclass in how to deliver a contemporary song.I think Annalisa can step into Gigliolas shoes and do the same again,,i hope so.

Can you imagine "Tra due minuti é Primavera" for Italy? It'd be amazing.
It would be fighting with Norway to be my favourite of this year. And that's saying a lot :D

Yes it would of given Norway a run for most contemporary song.I used Tra due minuti é Primavera as an example because of the superb key changes in the song and how Annalisa pitches the bridges perfectly. Those are key ingredients of ESC winners.
