Hmm funny! Every time I hear her sing "You're an independent grown man after all" I thought that she was singing:

"You're an independent Roman after all" (= guy from Rome)

Amazing voice, cool look, good song. I really like it, although I would prefer an Italian version because I think it is such an awesome language :p

I like the new version more actually :D
Kudos for eurovision.tv lyrics though because it's hard to understand what she's singing.

So,is this the esc version? It sounds cool but I don't like the fact that the italian lyrics are few...We were waiting so many years Italy's come back,to hear again at ESC a full-lyrics italian song...and this is the result we take...pity!I am more into per sempre,I can be into L'amore...but please in italians!!!Anyway,I'll stop complaint...it's a pleasure to hear such a talent singer in ESC...

I'm finding it hard to believe that it was originally in English, as to me it flows way better in Italian. Maybe it's just her accent? I would've at least preferred to not have the two languages mix so randomly one into the other. Couldn't you just do the verses in one of them and the chorus - in the other one?

Don't like this version. It doesn't flow as well. Maybe it's just her pronunciation and she'll be able to sing it better live come May. Fingers crossed.

They don't mix randomly. It's almost entirely in English until the last chorus. It's a shame. It had a natural structure for a 50/50 bi-lingual version.

Bit in Italian, "Boom boom boom", bit in English. Easy.

Just gave it another try but this version really makes me cry! The Italian language is just perfect for songs, then why dump your own language for such (mediocre) English? Really cannot understand it, there can only be 2 options 1) Italy is afraid they would win otherwise or 2) they are just really really dumb....

I think this song is much better than the previous one. I believe that they should pick the full Italian version for the contest.

I liked more "Per Sempre", it was my winning song this year but also this song is quite good too, but it won't win for sure, maybe will be 2nd as Raphael last year. Good luck Italia!!!

This is a grower for me. I would have loved if they kept all choruses in Italian but oh well, at least one of them is 100% italian.
I don't think the english translation is necessary.

I'm falling for this version in a way a didn't think possible at first. It's something that builds up from the beginning and becomes pure bliss at 2:10 till the end. I also love Nina's act, the way she moves. She's oozing charisma. Maybe we have in Italy 2 singers with a better voice then hers, but none of them is a stage queen like her. And this is just an improvised backstage video. I'm eager to see what she'll do after some preparation.

Can you tell me who they are? :)

Antonella Ruggiero (absolutely the best italian singer ever) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C73bvweyenE
Arisa http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWu71JMwGWE

Arisa, I already know her...her voice is not exactly my style (a bit too sweet and round). She reminds me a bit of the singer of Mecano (from Spain).

Now I'm listening to Antonella...I can definitely hear why she's called one of Italy's best singers...but her voice Is not really what I like, I think it lacks a bit in dynamics compared to Nina's. But of course: it's personal taste.

In the past week I've been listening a lot to Nina Zilli (not only Per Sempre) (I have several favorites, including Per le Strade, 50 Mila and La felicita). She should sing more slower songs, she can bring them very well.

I think that "La felicità" is the slowest one she has sung so far.

Really?? But why? It's not like she would lose her pulse when singing a slow song, would she?

What a pity.
