I don't get what's happening with Israel in the odds. The song wasn't THAT bad before to get so much hatred, but it's neither THAT good to be top-10 in the odds. What happened? I saw really nothing special in the rehearsals...

Someone's going to lose the money, that's happening. xshrug

I would find it quite logical to put money on those risky entries which could go either way (despite the obvious favs, of course) such as :ua::hr: or :am: but :il::mt::uk:!? I mean, they could get a decent result (imo except :uk: which is still for me #lastplaceconfirmed), but surely don't have enough of an wow factor to win.

Besides, as far as I remember :nl: 2014 was predicted to fail in the semifinals by the odds before the semifinal. ;) They have no idea just like we have no idea about what's going to happen.

Oh, ESC2016 would have been so much more dull if it weren't for Hovi, he should comment it on Israeli tv next time.

Ok sorry, ontopic lol.
Douwe explained in an interview that he wanted to give Hovi a hug and that it was all ok. So Hovi is holding the grudge in this situation, not Douwe.
And please, like Hovi is ever going to be a star outside Israel, he couldn't even hit all the notes during the rehearsal. And really, I rather be a star in the Netherlands than in Israel, just saying. Bye Hovilicia.

(btw, I find the song ok, sucks it's sung by such a cold hearted person)

This is quite good, however something irritates me as well. I think the lyrics are too pathetic and his way of performing pulls me away from the song. Still, when I listen to it only it is ok. I believe this is more or less, a definite qualifier in the end.

It was a good performance, decent song and it deserved a spot in the final.

The song gets into the mood really late. Only if the higher swing arrived earlier, I could like it but now it just sounds pretty boring to me. Along with Australia, Israel is the only qualifier that I find unfair.

I voted. Hovi has really won me over (both personality and vocally), so was thrilled to see him get through. He looked so emotional during the results, you can tell he was getting worried that he wasn't going to make it!

Slow paced song, terrible person, boring staging, bad back vocalists... should've been any of the 8 countries that are out tbh.

Great performance ! Hovi is certainly a great singer !
And xbow to the :il: that managed to turn in a really short time a terrible song into a really competent entry !

Very polished performance. Well done Hovi!

What's this about Hovi being mean? Any particular incident?
