I am very curious about how Israel will fare in May. I am quite sure Mei will get jury votes. But the televoters have partly had a tendency not to put Isreal to high on their list.

I think they could do really really well! I am so tempted to put a cheeky bet on them

It might be safer to go with something like a top 4 finish bet if you really believe in Mei's success. You can get her at 14/1.

I wish I was a betting man. I would have bet on Lena when she was 30/1 to win and I predicted Rona's top 5 placing. This year i'd probably bet on Norway for the win, Germany for a top 5 placing and Macedonia for a top 10 placing.. and probably lose everything in the process xyes

I have never connected so much with an artist. She is simply amazing. I admire her for how she is, her manners and respect for everything is so nice to see and hear. What a lovely lady for Europe to witness. I really hope she gets a fantastic result, well done Israel!

I agree, she does seem a really cool woman. The song is growing on me more and more as well. Lots of growers this year in fact for me. It's not the kind of song i'd usually listen to but I really respect how great Mei is. She lifts her song much in the same way that Tijana lifts hers. Both great vocalists and personalities. Israel were robbed last year. They deserve the final this year as well so I hope Mei gets a good result.

Doesn't really have any connection to this year. Both songs completely different. Pretty clear you don't like it though.

I'm pretty indifferent to it. It's a nice song but it seems to be another piece of OGAE fodder completely passing me by and I don't see it reaching the results people expect it to.

I'm happy people like it, but the fact that It's Israel means I am sceptical about how well It'll do. It'll qualify, but who knows after that.

It just hit me that Israel hasn't qualified for the final in 3 years....I didn't realize it was that long xshock1

I do think considering how wide open this year is and with Mei being the fabulous singer she is I think Israel has a chance to get their best result since Boaz in 2008 (9th) xpray

No doubt Mei is so good live, that's a good thing even though I always knew it since "Israeli idol" ;) I hope she will qualify, if she won't I really think that Israel will never qualify then (we sent all kind of songs since 2011, from Dana to Moran, from ballads to uptempo to strange song, from completely Hebrew to English-Hebrew songs)!

Oh yeah because 3 years is almost like an enternity and the level of variety which you can achieve by only comparing 3 songs is basically limitless.

If the Netherlands had that mindset they'd have given up around 2007...
