It is one of the best stagings in ESC history, no doubt about that. It's crazy how this went from the poorest NF clip of all NF winners to a competent dark horse.

Whether people or juries will actually vote for it remains to be seen, but at least top 10 is within reach.

My mum asked why Ireland aren't sending their usual 'good entries'

The way I ghosted her for 3 days
My parents said the same like "Ireland usually is so strong... what happened to them for sending such a horrible entry?".

I don't blame them since I heavily dislike the studio version as well. They haven't seen the rehearsal clip and how Bambie slayed....

Life is music, Bambie's a contender. Wow. This came out of nowhere for me, but I seriously think :ie: could even win.

Still not a fan of the song itself - gave it :5: in the poll - but everything comes together live. Staging-wise, this is this year's Cha Cha Cha.

Can the juries be convinced?

My queenie, I literally thought about you when I first heard this entry. Isn't this Grinch-coded all over?
Babe, :ie: is in my top 10 but the RTE performance and the music video made me believe that it would get lost among so many novelty/OTT acts. I don't think that now.

Listening to the rehearsal of this, the vocals sound off to me. I don't see this as qualifying and people on here being very disappointed

Come on, what are the possibilities of this song and that stage to NQ in a televote only Semifinal? This Is so Q'ing and imo Will be in the top 3 with Croatia and Ukraine.
I don't know. The actual song is not memorable to me. The vocals are a bit underwhelming too.

Yes, she looks great, love the outfits and the staging. But I don't know if that's enough.

Irish people might have boosted the odds like in 2018 with Ryan O'Shagneussy?
At this point in 2018 Ryan was 31st in the winning odds and only had a 22% chance of qualifying.
In 2024 Bambie is 5th in the odds and has a 93% chance of qualifying.

I find alot of people who arent fans of the song are trying to convince themselves its a repeat of 2018, I think these fans need to wake themselves up to reality.

The issue here is you are thinking because you don't like the song/performance that the rest of Europe also wont, this is where the difference between objectivity and subjectivity comes into play.

I am only giving my opinion and think the vocals/song combo are too weak for it to qualify. I could be completely wrong :)

Vocals? Most of the vocals in the performance are the backing track. And that's not a criticism, I've watched the jury rehearsal leak and most of the countries are utilizing the backing vocals heavily. The vocals will not be an issue with Ireland.

The performance is one of the best I have seen in Eurovision. Truly nailed it and I can't imagine Ireland not finishing in the top 3 in this semi.

Well, I was not comparing Bambie's entry with Ryan's one (sorry, I can't write his surname correctly), but I just can't imagine a road to victory for them. This staging is a great surprise and it will probably guarantee Ireland a top 10, but I think their momentum is quite overrated: to me, Israel and France have more chances to win than Ireland
