I suspect this podcast with the Irish HoD is going to be hard listening for Irish eurofans. It shows everything wrong with RTEs approach when Michael Kealy is so nonchalant about the fact Ireland has the 3rd worse record in Eurovision of the past 10 years.

They "questioned what needs to change going forward?" I presumed that podcast lasted for at least three days if that's what they were dealing with. As for Michael Kealy, he's basically the Eurovision delegation equivalent of the swimming pool attendant from The Day Today:

When his defense of a 10% qualification record is that his record should be 25% that should tell you that you've got a clown stirring the ship.

Podcast is out, judging what people have said about the podcast it seems nothing much is going to change, and the clown show is going to continue this year. He actually try to use money as an excuse for RTE not having a podcast for Eurovision, I cant!

Sorry, but Ireland as one of the richest nations not only in Europe but in the World as a whole can't use financial reasons as an excuse. I bet 3/4 of the participating nations operate with the same or even lesser amount of money than Ireland.

Michael Kealy is close to retirement so is an old man. The common old man excuse for everything in Ireland is blame money. All he does is tell us what he think's we want to hear and he'll try big himself up with the whole "I proposed this to the board" or "I made a pitch" all this nonsense to make it sound like he's one of the good guys, it's all bullsh!t. We all knew he would take advantage of the latest crisis at RTE to make it into an excuse for not having a NF, he's so predictable that this stage its not even funny.

If anyone got fooled into believing him the money excuse in regards to not being able to start a podcast should confirm that he's full of sh!t.

For those who don't have Spotify accounts, the interview is also available on YouTube.

Our gdp is a mirage normal people don't see any of it, our economy is mostly just American multinational tax evasion

As I said previously in this thread RTE has had numerous scandals over its spending this year there was always 0% chance of a NF not on the late late lmao

RTE have the money to do a NF but given how much shift they've gotten in the last 12 months over expenses scandals and flip flop bullshit they were never going to do any more than they already do

I stopped giving a shit about who we sent many moons ago I just pray that jedward doesn't come back for a third go I hate those eejits
