This song could be a big surprise in May. It´s polarizing and there will be many people who will call for it. It´s not my cup of tea at the moment, but I must say, that the song stucks in my head and sometimes I hum it. So I´m sure, that I will like it in a few days or weeks.

Three times Eurovision winner Johnny Logan spoke to esctoday.com about this year's Irish entry during a special press meeting held in Bucharest. The twins were labelled as 'embarrassing' by the former Irish Eurovision glory.
esctoday.com announced Jedward's intention to take part in the Irish national selection on December 2, 2010. The twins eventually won this year's Eurosong competition and will represent the Emerald Isle at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.

During a special press meeting held on December 30th at TVR's headquarters in Bucharest, Johnny Logan was interviewed by esctoday.com and was asked about Jedward and their intention to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest. The former Irish glory regarded the twins as 'embarrassing' and expressed his negative opinion about the organizers of the national selection in Ireland.

"I don’t want to give Jedward any credibility by talking about them. For me, I’m sure they are lovely boys. But, really, I found a pair of shoes in Munich that have wings on them, and I believe Jedward wear these. I wear them to embarrass my 18-year-old, you know?", said Johnny Logan when asked about his opinion about Jedward.
Jedward's reaction was published today by the Irish press. “I think that anyone who hates on people that are younger than them, they just want to be younger [...] If people start hating on you or start saying, ‘oh don’t do that,’ you know you’re doing something right”, said Edward Grimes.

The twins also revealed some details about their plans for this year's Eurovision Song Contest : We’re thinking about having a really cool outfit, and will come up with a brand new performance because it’s a bigger stage. It’s huge, it’s an arena so like it’s going to be a huge performance [...] We’re going to shock people. People will be like ‘Oh My God where did these guys come out of? The event is a really good opportunity for us to gain more fans.”

Johnny Logan has labelled Jedward as 'embarrassing' in a interview given to esctoday.com's Alexandru Busa on December 30th, 2010.

I think tonight's Austrian result is a big boost to Jedward's chances. Trackshittaz would have completely overshadowed them in the semi 2 performance stakes. With them gone, a big elaborate staging of Lipstick can have a much bigger impact.

Yeah, the Austrians hadn`t enough guts to send the Trackshittaz. However, I think Jedward will qualify.

I find the song itself irritatingly catchy - although I'd be quite happy if I never heard it again. The performance is astonishingly bad even by Jedward's standards. I am not sure that Europe will get the joke

I dont like them because of X factor and they were sooo annoying during show, but now, they are kinda ok... we great stageing and good production, this could be good performance... and ofc. good back vocals.. :)
