I really like the song. When I listened to it in the NF, i thought: "What a crap", but over time, I started to like it.

I hate to admit... but I feel the same. I truely hate Jedward (always have)... but the "piece of crap" grows on ya like a 'múnla', and it becomes so recognizable you actually start to like it.

I think that's happened and will happen to a lot of people (THANK GOD!)

Well, people will only listen to it once though and if they won't vote for it for the first time tand therefore won't even have the opportunity to listen to the song again.

Which I would be very happy with cause unlike a few here I dislike it even more than the first time I listened to it. So I am quite confident this will bomb in Duesseldorf.

Am glad that next to a growing number of people, lena said lipstick to be her favorite song this year.

Being in the semi-finals could also be an advantage since the audience has a chance to listen to the same song on 2 consecutive nights.
the song is very catchy and addictive and i'm sure the twins will promote the hell out of it

latest interview

Jedward will join other celebs on the marathon 24-hour panel show of BBC in aid of comic relief

^^ That is all awesome, but if Lena likes the entry, it doesn't mean the voters will (generally) like it as well.

Also, it is correct that it is an advantage for a song to be competing in a semi (but it could also mean nothing, which we clearly saw last year), but only for a song that qualifies, and I am pretty certain Jedward will not be that story.

we''ll see, anything can happen.
i know that lena during this time last year had quite a mot of haters too.
and look what happened.
the advantage that the twins have is that they will have the interest from the press and are quite media-genic

^^ Dustin also had quite a huge media coverage in Belgrade :)

You can't compare "Satellite" to "Lipstick", as "Satellite" is like a plane compared to the bicycle of "Lipstick" (my opinion of course).

Also, there is no song which has no "haters". "Molitva" also had its haters, so it is not a valid argument

again we'll see.
there are songs which have no haters, e.g. netherlands, there are people who love it and there are people who just don't care for it.
Dustin the turkey cannot be compared to jedward with all due respect

Why not? The only difference is that jedwards don't think they're a joke when everybody else thinks they are. Other than that there is no big difference for me

I think the main difference is that Dustin's humour was derived from a bitterness at Ireland's failure to continue their 90s ESC dominance. It left a bad taste in my mouth. Jedward's humour is instead derived from their teenage eejit innocence.

What's more Dustin was intentionally bad; the theory being that Eurovision was now a joke and any old crap can win. Jedward also being bad is just a coincidence.

Not really, Lena has been the favorite to win, the majority of fans, viewers, experts etc considered a potential winner from the beginning, it certainly wasn't as polarizing as Ireland's entry.

Example: Germany's song received 12 points from almost half of the forum members last year (47%) and 21% 0 pointers
Ireland's song only receive 12 points from 12% of the members and a third gave it 0 points.

While there are people out there who like the song it is nothing compared to the popularity of Satellite last year (and I didn't even like that song too much myself)

and @Mickey, I get what you're saying that Dustin and Jedwards had different approaches and reasons to do Eurovision, however it won't change the fact that they are considered joke entries by the majority of fans/viewers. And the fact that Jedwards are unintentionally funny makes it to me a song worse than the turkey song.

I agee! Yet, a bicycle could get as far as an airplane (only it would take a lot more time)... if you don't go Atlantic or Pacific that is.

i can overcome the fact that this entry is bloody awful in almost every possible way, but please...
our eyes hurt!
just one word for you irish: choreography. i know that you are in an awful financial state, but save yourselves from disgrace and hire a professional one.

those 2 cartoons they seem unstopable! all they need is a VERY STRICT choreography and maybe then we can get your tongue-in-cheek teenage pop entry

Don’t want to be rude, but I don’t like at all this entry…
I tried to give it chance, but every time I listen to it, I find it even worse…
Sorry Irish people! :(
