Nasty behavior. Just at the moment when I started to like them.

Putting out that flag was just lame.
It’s not funny. The situation is not prank material.

Also very rude to the host.

Also, this is ESC, not some political summit.

Just putting this here, guys.

This is a very controversial topic obviously, and one that usually doesn't belong here in this sub-forum. So keep it to the stunt itself, please. :) Any discussion about the actual political conflict should be taken to the Politics sub-forum, of course. Thank you. :)

Since Armenia didn't get any sanction for that Flag incident with Ivetta I doubt that EBU will have the balls to stick to its own rules this year either. A post-hoc disqualification would be the right sign. Also for future contestants.

In this continent we have freedom of opinion btw.... Let people express their opinion even if you find it wrong!

So proud of them tonight. Madonna did the same and she was there on the behalf of the showrunners. Would be idiotic then to punish us.

Though Israel very much saw this hosting as a chance to promote themselves.

And I don't think it's the Iceland Eurovision broadcaster who is at fault really, Hatari no doubt did it without help from them.

It is completely irrelevant if anyone thinks the opinion is right or wrong or whatever.

It’s disrespectful towards host and esc for that matter.

And yeah, it’s not the first time something like that happened in esc, but that doesn’t make it ok.

Besides, it would be one thing if, for example, a palestinian performer (in this case) did that. But icelandic performer? Just lame, man.

Tumblr, mostly.
I say this as someone who has Hatari in their top five: they were utter dicks during the voting lol. Worse, they were dicks on purpose on issues they probably shouldn't be dicks about.

I don't think any differently of it because the grand bulk of Hatari's appeal is provocation, but you cannot defend this sort of behaviour.

Disagree!

If their artistic proposition concludes what they stated by this action, they have every right to do it without being accused as 'disrespectful'....

But this is Eurovision, where there are rules what you can or can't do, what message you can or can't promote and what flags you can or can't show. This isn't the artist's personal forum. If you join the game, you have to play the game.

That’s bs.

If, hypotheticaly, we hosted esc during the war with Serbia and some smartass from across the continent came here with some crap like that, acting almighty and whatever, I would kick his ass, literally.

I get u (or rest of the Europe for that matter) can’t understand that.
