I thinkit might've been landlines and then mobile, or phonecall and then sms. The regional votes seemed to skew towards the more traditional songs, so that'd make sense at least.

After careful consideration (I'm lying, I haven't considered anything) I have to say that Alda and her song have both grown on me. I want her to go. In an ideal world it would be Páll Óskar and his song about Iceland's 30 years in Eurovision but I'm not the ruler of RÚV.
