Great video, but the song just became a bit more... bland with the English lyrics. Why do they do this (and I know my own country is just as guilty)?!
I'll stick to the Icelandic version.
I'll stick to the Icelandic version.
Sorry, A-Lister, but those English lyrics are really good - up until the chorus. I'd make it bilingual with the original chorus.
The English version boosts their chances for victory (unfortunately, not everyone wants to hear a song on a language other than English.. take Ireland for example).
Unfortunately this is the truth so she basically lied the other day. "It's for the best of the song... I don't care about votes"... blah blah blah..YEAH RIGHT!
They ruined the essence.
And seriously, if people have such closed-mind, they should stick to their American Idols and not watch Eurovision
I get your frustration! Look on the bright side. There are quite a few songs sang on countries' native languages this year.Unfortunately this is the truth so she basically lied the other day. "It's for the best of the song... I don't care about votes"... blah blah blah..YEAH RIGHT!

Wether or not we like the change I understand their thought process. The ESC Fans Love the thought of keeping songs in the original language but your mainstream viewer in general prefers English. And even if a song wins, it will be translated into English afterwards when going on Sale abroad.
It seems like people these days have become really impaired. Do they really need to have everything translated and so obvious for them to enjoy it and understand it. Use your senses and your imagination, guys. Otherwise, I can't say you're living a complete life.
What's wrong with it lol? It sounds amazing. It hasnt lost its touch at all in English, it will be fine, dont worry . I understand why people want it in Icelandic, but if anything hearing this new version of it has put it up in my estimation, it's easy gunna be in my top 10! Go Iceland!
That's just it, I think it has lost its touch in English. Before it was all mystical and magical. While the song itself is still good, it's lost all the Icelandic charm and wonder. What's wrong with it lol? It sounds amazing. It hasnt lost its touch at all in English, it will be fine, dont worry . LOL I was going to say, I'm not surprised Adam prefers the English version.I'm not surprised the main English imperialist on the forum is happy with the English take-over in ESC
