If you have mute in your television,
you can not understand that this man is talking about pain in life.

That's just stupid. Of course you can't tell when someone is showing emotion through their song when it's muted.

It depends what the song is about.
If someone is singing 'I'm planning to kill myself tonight'...sure, you may be able to tell even if the song is muted!
But this is a song where the singer NARRATES a story. Someone else's story...and he seems serious, empathetic and sad..just like he should be. What did you expect? Endless floods of tears? LOL

Not from their voice, which is the important part in conveying emotion.

Most of human beings use to have a face, where you can understand when they are happy or sad.
I know its difficult for North Europe to understand this, but its a reality for other people.

Well, I do see feelings in Andras' voice (in the 'she cries, cries cries, she's all alone' part particularly), mimic and performance. I'm not sure where do you guys exactly see the coldness... I mean, he doesn't act like a professional actor, sure, but for me the feelings are clear! I'm looking forward to see if he manages to express them on 6th May too.

Songs that sound American, like this one, usually flop in ESC but I hope that won't happen this time. I like the song, the video and Andras himself.

Yeah, Drum and Bass started in England in the mid 1990's. It is actually a very British sound that has emerged once more these past couple of years.

Artists like Emeli Sande have helped to make the genre popular again.

Hm, while I find the previous discussion incredible interesting, I'm not quite following the logic. The Emeli Sandé - Heaven trail is pretty clever with pointing out influences from drum and bass combined with what I would call soul music vocals. Finding that out is way beyond my music knowledge. :D To me this is typical modern (English) soul (Erik Hassle, Daley etc) and I should absolutely adore this - but I don't. I honestly don't know why and I kind of avoided the subject. Hungary as the ESC-winner is perfect at many levels. I can't find any relevance with the comparison with Carl Espen as I find they to be completely different styles, but I agree on András Kállay-Saunders weak vocals. I lack some kind of presence or personality in the singing. That may hopefully come with a live performance. The song is better without looking at the video and is likely to be better live. The thing that interest me most is the syncoped beat. I almost thought it was a 5/4 beat at first.

It goes to show how many different opinions there are out there.
To me, Andras is what helps this song..not the other way round.

Perhaps I just kind of compare how it would have sounded with Erik Hassle? I don't know and it will surely show when we hear the song live. In some kind of objective sense I think it would be very nice with Eurovision Budapest 2015, but then the song needs to step up some levels. Just my thoughts.
