No offense to my Greek-friends in here but ... for me this should have finished even lower.
The voices were very very weak, the song was just ok & the whole staging was just too much of everything. Less is more sometimes. We all know you can do better - show us next year!

Has anyone mentioned this but, I saw on Wikipedia that apparently Greece is considering withdrawing because they find the new drawing system to decide the order completely unfair, and they don't like the 50/50 voting because for 6 years in a row the juries have dragged them down.

xfacepalm

Maybe cause we send uptempo/dance songs almost every year? xshrug I agree the new drawing system is unfair but not because Greece was #10, but beacuse it is "put organizers fave in the best spot". Honestly guys you expect really much but we need to learn to lose xshrug We can't be in the top 10 every year cause our songs are dance.

I just noticed the link is from Oiktimes so it probably utter rubbish. Ukraine went first and come 6th, so the position shouldn't really affect it at all.

Oh ok it's oikotimes :D Well Ukraine had a great song, with a great staging and it was a good opener so I find it normal that it came 2nd

if I am not mistaken Germany had Greece 4rth in televoting and only 22nd in jury voting..(!!)..Meaning that german viewers really liked this year'e entry......Same happened with Romania- 20th in jury voting/5th in televoting and so on..............

I dont think this year Greece deserved to be as low as 20th (if you ask me, this would have been MORE THAN FAIR if it happened with Aphrodisiac!!)still, what to do.............Hope next year juries will be consisting of 'today's' people

.............And you will enjoy our entry more :)xrose

Lets be honest...greek diaspora helped Greece to achieve 4th and 5th place in the televoting of Germany and Romania.

Along with UK and Azerbaijan, that's the bump that surprised me more...

I was jumping during the entire performance.

greek diaspora in Romania...?Since when....? And iac I just gave a couple of examples... Same happened with Switzerland- 24th/9th. Slovenia, the Netherlands, Poland and more.....Anyway,when we talk about juries, it's the usual story more or less

All in all, I am keeping my last comment, hope in the years to come, jury members to be more 'into' the average viewer

I have to say that this result is quite shocking for me. Their performance was the best one on the entire ESC and it was just spectacular, and the song is a real summer hit. I expected a result around 6th place, and in the end this......... :( Seems like you have the same problem like us, every time you send something that has no ethnic elements, people don't want to support it enough :( Very underrated, imo.

Well,it wasn't exactly without ethnic elements,
it was Balkan-house music.
