On the other hand: Loukas Giorkas' performance in Watch my Dance has been one of the hightlights from the last 10 years of the competition.

I still can't forgive them for slaughtering that song with the bad rap though, because had Loukas sung verses instead of the rap parts then it would have been one of my fav Greek entries to date.

I hated that song on the begin (I mean on Watch my dance) but now i really like it.

However my top wishes for Greece next year are Thomai Apergi, Kristalia, Kostas Martakis (in all ways), Vegas (why not) and Nikos Ganos. And of course eternal wish is Michalis Hatzigianis

Greece: Special deadline extension

Greece have been granted a special deadline extension for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest, according to Executive Supervisor Jon Ola Sand. Following ERT’s closure earlier this year, the interim broadcaster are not yet members of the European Broadcasting Union – and therefore are not eligible to take part in next May’s competition. However, due to these extreme circumstances the EBU have decided to offer an extension as Jon Ola Sand explains:

“We are in close contact and we would really like to have the Greeks take part. I hope that we will find a solution, but this is not in place as yet. We have given them an extended deadline beyond the 22nd of November, which is the sign-up deadline”

Jon Ola Sand also affirmed the EBU’s commitment to having as many countries as possible in Copenhagen next year, but added that participation fees cannot be reduced as it would means those of other countries’ would have to be increased.

Imam baildi is a very interesting band but i highly doubt about their interest in ESC!

As I said, I like IB a lot - they did a great concert here in Oslo a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I had to work on the night, but I heard they did a really good concert! But as much as I would like to see them in ESC, I dont have any hopes it will actually happen.
But they do represent a kind of music that I really enjoy!

Great news! I'm happy that the economic crisis and the problems with the tv station didn't affect their participation. ESC without Greece is not the same thing! :)
