Greece produces some real gems at the ESC. Always eager to hear their finalist. Loucas's vocal last year was immense and I still think 'This Is Our Night' should have won - belting, feel-good Euro dance tune.

Loucas 2011 was great minus the AWFUL rapper, had they added singing verses with Loucas instead of destroying the song with useless amateur rap, the song would have been great.

I didn't like "This is our night" though, it was a dated tune, not really Euro dance, more like Schlager-dance or something.

How can they waste Sakis when Sakis is just some hunk but with no actual talent?

Oh well, let's focus on 2012.

He didn't choose alone. Don't forget that Dimitris Kontopoulos was chosen officially to be the composer of the entry, and he composed 3 mediocre songs. However, This Is Our Night was quite stronger than the others.

I had the impression that it was ERT that selected Kontopoulos, since his songs were always coming 2nd or 3rd in all Greek NFs. But anyway, This Is Our Night was much weaker than other Kontopoulos' songs of Sakis like "+ Se Thelo", "Parafora" and "I Dyo Mas".

Anyway, this is 2012, not 2009, so let's talk about the rumors that ERT selected a group! Please, let it be Melisses!!!! xsponge

2) "Right on time" , that was one of the three candidate songs was AMAZING. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgzbJ2zDivg They should have chosen that song. It was the PERFECT for Sakis.

Last night were the final negotiations betwen ERT and label Universal.
Everything has been decided.
Waiting for official infromation soon.

The Melisses rumor is not true according to a report by Oikotimes, and what the band officially said in a statement to Star Channel.

Melisses had a lot of "blah blah" in the Cypriot NF, so this might mean something?
