Your broadcaster seriously needs a kick up the backside with this whole “it has to be radio friendly” BS approach…Ryk applied in the same year as Electric Callboy in 2022 and was rejected with this song:
Well, it simply wasn't radio-frinedly enough.

Yes. And what we got were 6 s****y songs.Surprise! Are you kidding that's a eurovision winner right there WHY ARE THEY SO INCOMPETENT AHHHH
HOW DARE U
I ignored he tried Eurovision with this one, but it doesn't surprise me, it sounded like a Eurovision top 5 anyway.Ryk applied in the same year as Electric Callboy in 2022 and was rejected with this song:

Agree on Ryk. As for Bodine, "Tears like Rain" is my 2nd favorite entry in this section. The song is okay, but I fear that the staging won't do justice. It probably will be something like in the video - will that be enough? I hope Bodine can convey her charisma onstage.I mean, in a certain way, it is impressive how 2022 can still continue to look worse
Anyway, I love how much Ryk loves ESC, and it sounds to me like he has a good plan for the staging. I didn't like his 2018 staging all that much, and it's interesting that he had quite different ideas too. And that he'll be more firm about his Vision this time. "Oh boy" needs it IMO, because it'll 100% live (or not) from the feelings he'll manage to convey.
I'm also excited for Bodine. I don't care much for "Tears like rain", but she seems to be a really good live singer and she's so charismatic and instantly likeable to me (her NDR Interview is pure sunshine). And I'm curious how Galant will stage "Katze". Most people don't seem to like it, but I think it's fun =D
I think I bims knows that. He meant IF it had been a "normal" year, Ryk would have had a chance.Wouldnt have won vs "Stefania"

Agree with everything you said here. I am also interested to see Katze's staging. I think Marie's live vocals will be very shaky (at least from what I saw from a few live videos). I just hope that the Juries don't pay much attention to Max Mutzke, it would be a waste since the song is just terribly boring. No idea how to really stage "Tears like rain" either, but I think relying completely on Bodine's charisma and joy on stage would be the best choice. It's worked for others before.
I feel similarily about "Always on the run". Isaak's voice is amazing, the song is fine, but I can't think of anything that could lead to an "elevated on stage" moment like I can with "Oh Boy" or "Katze", "Undream You" or even "Naiv" (tho I'm worried about Marie's vocals, but we'll see). On the other hand, I'm sure "Forever strong" is dead on arrival to me no matter the staging 'xD
Eh, song is fine, but I just can't bring myself to like his voice and his way of singing.
